She’s back like she never left!
Ariana Grande’s latest album is finally here. The 27-year-old singer has just released Positions, her sixth studio album, and it’s giving fans plenty to be excited about.
Ahead of the album’s release, the superstar singer had expressed her excitement about sharing her latest songs with the world.
“hellooo! can it be tomorrow night already please?” she captioned a pic of herself on Instagram. “love u so much i am so so grateful and excited. canāt stop cryin. hooooooooooo.”
The 14-track album includes collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign and The Weeknd, “Safety Net” and “Off the Table,” respectively. And it’s definitely a showcase of how much she has grown – both as an artist and as a woman – over the course of her career.
Most fans will remember her from her early acting start, and her chart topping songs with the pop market heavily in mind. With this new album, she has expanded her range, and the content of her music in a way that seems natural for a young woman with the world at her fingertips.
Beyond just the š eš„ appeal, songs like “love language” and “my hair” showcase her vulnerability and her point of view with regards to vulnerability.
In an Instagram post ahead of the album’s release, Grande revealed that she counts her two collabs as her favourite songs on the album.
The only song released before the rest of the album was the title track, which Grande put out earlier this month.
In a pandemic year, “Positions” is a worthy follow up to her previous work, and definitely makes us excited about what else there is to come.
