Frank Warren reveals hilarious advice Tyson Fury gave teammate Joseph Parker ahead of Deontay Wilder fight

Frank Warren has revealed the funny tip Tyson Fury has given Joseph Paker before his fight with prolific knockout artist Deontay Wilder.

The former WBO heavyweight champion will be a big underdog when he steps into the ring to face Wilder during the Day of Reckoning in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

‘Bronze Bomber’ has scored stoppages in 42 of his 43 professional wins and is regarded by many as one of the most ferocious punchers in boxing history.

However, Parker counts the only man to beat Wilder as a teammate.

Tyson Fury was unlucky to draw his first fight with the heavy-hitting American, but he subsequently ended their rivalry by scoring back-to-back KO wins.

Anthony Joshua will face Otto Wallin in the main event of the evening, and he is hoping to re-establish himself as an elite heavyweight, like Wilder, this weekend.

Warren believes both men are in a perilous position right now.

“For AJ, this is a make-or-break situation for him,” he told talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday morning.

“I’m not being critical or anything, but what’s he got left in the tank? What’s he got? Can he get himself a seat on the big table next year?

“The same goes for Wilder. Wilder against Parker. Wilder has been out for two years, he’s had one fight in between, which was a one-rounder.”

The Hall of Fame boxer promoter went on to talk up Parker’s chances of pulling off an upset while revealing one hilarious bit of advice Fury had passed on to his pal during camp.

“Joe Parker had a really good win last time out,” Warren added.

“Joe Parker trains with Tyson. So, Tyson will, obviously, be giving him a lot of tips on how he thinks he should deal with Wilder.

“One of them was, ‘Don’t get hit for 36 minutes’ because he’s such a big puncher.”

It’s highly unlikely Parker will become the first boxer in history to complete 12 rounds without taking a single punch, but if he can be elusive, as Fury suggested, he could box his way to victory.

Big fights and massive paydays await the winner of Wilder vs Parker.
