Drake on Thursday was named Billboard’s Top Artist of the Year for 2021, the second time he has achieved the honor, as he was previously crowned with in 2018.

The title came as a result of both the success of his hit album Certified Lover Boy, which debuted in the top spot in September, as well as the hit singles it has spawned, including Way 2 Sexy, Girls Want Girls and Knife Talk.

His overall catalog continued to sell well over the year, with eight albums landing on the Billboard 200 in the timeframe from November 2020 thru November 2021.
