While many have been quick to question it, Travis Kelce‘s close friends are convinced his romance with Taylor Swift is a lot more than just one big publicity stunt.
The Kansas City tight end has seen his profile skyrocket ever since Swift went public with their growing relationship by rocking up to a Chiefs game in September.
However, the mass hysteria surrounding this new celebrity power-couple has left some doubting the authenticity of their relationship.
For several naysayers, Travis and Taylor’s love story has been manufactured as a successful marketing tool for the NFL star and the pop sensation.
Yet according to his inner circle, Kelce’s well-documented romance with Swift is actually ‘the real deal’.

Many have doubted whether the couple, pictured with Kelce’s teammate Mecole Hardman Jr and his girlfriend, are genuine or if the romance is for the cameras
But Kelce’s close friends believe the relationship is a lot more significant than most realize
In a new report by People, Kelce’s close friends have indicated that the couple are serious and their relationship is not just for the cameras.
‘Travis’ friends think this is the real deal for him,’ an insider close to the Chiefs player is quoted as saying. ‘They’re still a little shocked by all of it — that he’s dating the Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family.’
The source added that their romance is ‘growing’ because both Kelce and Swift are appreciative of the other’s achievements in their respective field.
‘They’re both really hard workers, and he acknowledges her art is hers, and he has what’s his,’ they added. ‘He understands the territory their relationship comes with and like he said, isn’t letting any of the hoopla impact how they’re growing together.’
The source concluded by saying that Travis ‘sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa.’
Swift and Kelce are seemingly set to reunite after the singer performed her latest Eras Tour concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil this weekend.
She is said to have taken a private jet which flew from Tampa, Florida on Monday and landed just outside Kansas City, Missouri, where the Chiefs star lives.

The pair are set to reunite and spend several months together with Swift free until February
Swift, 33, was unable to watch her boyfriend in action on Sunday, when they beat the Las Vegas Raiders, due to being on the road but it appears the hit-maker and Kelce, 34, are set to be reunited.
Eagle-eyed Swifties tracked her private jet taking off Monday morning en route for Kansas City.
It is unclear how long Swift will visit Kelce but she could make a return to the bleachers this weekend with the Chiefs facing the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
Swift has been the star attraction at several of Kelce’s Chiefs game this season, cheering on her new boyfriend from the stands at Arrowhead three times, as well as supporting him alongside her celebrity posse at MetLife Stadium when Kansas City played the New York Jets.
She has previously stayed with the two-time Super Bowl winner at his Kansas City $1 million mansion.
