Over the past few years, Justin Bieber has proven himself a master of madcap dressing—a guy who can seemingly throw together any number of disparate, haphazard clothing items and somehow wind up looking effortlessly cool. A longstanding cornerstone of his chaotic aesthetic, of course, is his rock-solid taste in footwear: Whether swathed in sweats or suits or oversized chinos, the Biebs routinely sports a trove of classic sneakers, from New Balance 550s to Adidas Sambas to his wife’s beloved Air Maxes, not to mention the occasional pair of banana-yellow Crocs.
In recent weeks, Bieber has been on something of a shoe game hot streak, stepping out in chunky tie-dye slides, plush white trainers, and more. But here’s the strange thing: We have absolutely no idea what any of these shoes are or where they come from. These aren’t Bieber’s usual go-to selections from the likes of Nike or Adidas or New Balance, nor are they limited-edition designer drops or rare collabs that might not have been seen much before. They don’t even appear to be new kicks from Drew House, the boutique fashion label Bieber founded with Ryan Good in 2019 and that he’s often been seen wearing since. As far as we can tell, these shoes are something else entirely.

Which leads us to wonder: What exactly is going on here? Is this a unique string of custom one-of-ones made expressly for the Biebs? (That would be a flex, but seems unlikely.) Are they samples from some obscure designer label that Bieber is out to promote? (If so, they surely would have stepped up to claim credit for them by now.) Or is Justin Bieber himself about to launch his own sneaker brand? That would certainly be a logical next step for a guy who has had fingers in a lot of fashion-world pies over the years. Entering the footwear market now would be a hugely exciting move—and given the insatiable demand for some of his previous fashion collabs, he’d be set up for success right out of the gate.

For now, the shoes remain a mystery, and only time will tell what, if anything, Bieber is cooking up. But if there’s a new label on the way and it looks as good as these white and pink sneakers, consider us officially hyped.
