Canadian rapper Drake is expanding his business empire, this time by launching his new alcohol range in Australia.
The 34-year-old Toronto native is celebrating his exclusive Virginia Black whiskey and Mod Sélection champagne being released Down Under this month.
The premium offerings will soon be available for purchase at BevMart, with the champagne, which has two variations, starting at $499 and the whiskey at $99.

In a statement, Drake said that the whiskey gives everyone ‘access to glamour, swagger and soul.’

‘We believe everyone should have access to glamour, swagger and soul,’ Drake said.
‘Virginia Black grants them that access, allowing people to embody the lifestyle always, not just on special occasions.’

His co-founder, ex-financier Brent Hocking, also spoke about his partnership with the hitmaker, saying they ‘hit it off on our love for basketball, music, style, fashion, we were like-minded.’
He added about Drake: ‘He’s a connoisseur himself. He loves wine. He doesn’t just drink, he asks.’
While no doubt the flavour of the drinks themselves will be a drawcard for fans, the bottles also feature a unique design which sets them apart.

Drake is one of the most well known rappers, known for hits including God’s Plan, One Dance and Best I Ever Had.
Last month, he was declared the Artist of the Decade at the Billboard Music Awards and dedicated the honour to his crying son, Adonis, three, who attended the event with him.
