Memphis and the Mid-South enjoyed a wide range of concerts and shows in what was an unusually busy 2023 for touring acts in the region. This past year’s calendar was packed with high-profile names and highly anticipated events across a variety of genres.

While 2024 looks to start out a bit more slowly, there are still a number of exciting acts already slated to play the Bluff City. Here is a look at a dozen shows — from classic rock icons to reunited heavy metal bands, hip-hop superstars to hot standup comedians — headed this way in the next few months.

Jo Koy: Jan. 13, Orpheum

Following a series of highly acclaimed Netflix specials and sold-out tours, comedian Jo Koy is coming to Memphis. The Los Angeles-based standup will headline a show at Downtown’s Orpheum on Jan. 13. Tickets: $59-$199; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Pantera: Feb. 10, FedExForum

Legendary Texas heavy metal band Pantera reunites for an arena tour that will stop in Memphis. Pantera’s “For the Fans. For the Brothers. For the Legacy” tour plays FedExForum on Feb. 10. Lamb of God will also appear on the bill. Tickets: $42-$247; go to Ticketmaster.com.

David Foster & Katharine McPhee: Feb. 28, Graceland Live

Hit songwriter and 16-time Grammy winner David Foster, and his wife, “American Idol” alum and singer Katharine McPhee, make their way to Memphis, playing Graceland on Feb. 28. The couple will perform a concert of classic Foster songs and pop standards in what’s being billed as “an intimate evening” of music. Tickets: $39.50-$125; go to Gracelandlive.com.

Drake & J. Cole: March 5, FedExForum

After two different Drake concerts at FedExForum were postponed then canceled in 2023, the multiplatinum rap superstar will finally make his way back to the city, playing FedExForum on March 5. The show will mark Drake’s first major concert appearance in Memphis in more than a decade. And Drake will be bringing fellow hip-hop hitmaker J. Kurt Vile & the Violators: March 22, Minglewood Hall

Philly-rooted indie rock favorite Kurt Vile is coming to Midtown’s Minglewood Hall, headlining a concert backed by his band the Violators on March 22. ZZ Top & Lynyrd Skynyrd: March 23, Landers Center

Classic rock veterans ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd bring their co-headlining “The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour” to the Mid-South in 2024. Blues rockers ZZ Top are no strangers to the Memphis area, having recorded numerous hit albums at Midtown’s Ardent Studios, and performed regularly in town for 50 years. The group — led by founding members Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard — was inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, as part of its inaugural class, in 2012. Southern rock titans Lynyrd Skynyrd also have longstanding ties to the region, having made some notable appearances in Memphis dating back to the early 1970s. Riley Green: April 5, BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove

Memphis Comedy Festival: April 6, Landers Center

Cody Johnson: April 13, FedExForum

Cody Johnson, the platinum-selling recording artist and CMA Male Vocalist of the Year nominee, is set to play FedExForum. Johnson will bring his “The Leather Tour” to the Downtown venue on April 13. Johnson’s tour will come to the Mid-South in support of his new album, “Leather.” The record, released Nov. 3, is a follow-up to his recent hit LPs, 2019’s “Ain’t Nothin’ To It” and 2021’s “Human: The Double Album.” Tickets: $78-$178; go to Ticketmaster.com.

Hozier: April 24, BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove

Irish pop music star Hozier is coming back to the Mid-South. Hozier, who made a memorable debut in the region at the 2015 Beale Street Music Festival, will be on the road in the U.S. supporting his 2023 “Unreal Unearth” album. Celtic Woman: April 25, Orpheum

Two decades since launching and eventually becoming an international music phenomenon, Ireland’s Celtic Woman are set to play Memphis this spring. The group — an accomplished recording ensemble and a world-class performing collective, featuring some of Ireland’s most talented singers and musicians — will mark its 20th anniversary with a show at the Orpheum on April 25. Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias: May 10, FedExForum
