Newcomer Ariana Grande is currently being celebrated by the whole world – at least almost, there are definitely people who don’t like her voice
Ariana Grande, 21, may have star fans like Niall Horan, 21, from One Direction, but there are also celebrities who aren’t into her . Best example: showbiz icon Bette Midler (68, “Wind Beneath My Wings”).
Ariana wowed crowds at the American Music Awards with her two performances, where she once performed her hit song “Problem”; and also released the joint song “Bang Bang” with Jessie J, 26, and Nicki Minaj, 31. performed. After the show, she praised Niall Horan on Twitter, describing her voice as “incredible.”
Bette Midler probably wouldn’t agree. She recently told the British newspaper The Telegraph: “This is terrible! I always find it surprising when someone like Ariana Grande slides around on a couch with that stupid, high-pitched voice and looks so ridiculous. I mean, it’s beyond stupid and I have no idea who’s telling her to do that. I wish she would stop doing this. But it’s none of my business. I’m not her mother. Or her manager. Maybe they’ll tell her that’s what you have to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold well.”
This isn’t the first time Ariana has faced harsh criticism. So far, she has been accused several times of displaying amazing diva behavior for her young age. The young artist has already admitted several times how much such accusations hurt her. She has now decided to simply ignore something like this in the future: “I have decided that it is my life and I decide where I focus my attention. There is so much love and so many beautiful things happening right now. I feel like if I don’t celebrate this every second, I’m wasting my time and taking it for granted. “I’d much rather focus on the positive and not worry about things like that,” the American told the British “Now” magazine.
Hopefully Ariana Grande can keep these thoughts in mind when faced with criticism from music icons like Bette Midler.
