Justin Bieber has taken to Instagram to explain why he hurled expletives at a news crew while on his private Sunshine Coast island on Tuesday.
Using a mock Tongan accent, Justin explained that he was just imitating Jonah from Tonga, a character played by Chris Lilley on the Aussie comedy show Summer Heights High.
‘I said puck you miss! There’s a difference between bullying him and joking around. I was joking around,’ Justin said in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old addressed the the reporter in the caption accompanying the video, writing, ‘SORRY BEN – If you don’t get the context its from an Australian TV show called ‘Summer Heights High’.
But he then went on to hurl even worse insults at both the reporter and the ‘news lady’ who reported the incident, under the guise of playing Jonah.
‘Sorry Ben! Motherf*****r!’ he snapped, before making a stabbing motion with his arm and adding, ‘Sorry, ranga’.
‘I was doing it for fun. You just didn’t get that it was fun. You on your period or what miss?’ he continued, addressing the news reader who delivered the story.

The response video followed an incident at Justin’s Queensland island where the Canadian told Channel Seven’s staff to ‘f*** off, mate’ before giving them the one-finger salute.
The Love Yourself hitmaker went on to yell more expletives from a distance.

‘F*** you. What’s wrong with you?’ he continued as he stood on the water’s edge at Makepeace Island, which he’d rented from Sir Richard Branson for his stay.
The shirtless pop star was sporting blue and white board shorts as he enjoyed his day off, showing off his many tattoos.
Justin’s stay in Queensland has been otherwise nothing short of luxurious, with the star hiring Makepeace Island near Noosa.

The tropical oasis comes with a hefty price tag of $5,500 per night and accommodates up to 20 guests.
