Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry walked out of the Moda Center on Sunday night with a 118-114 win against the Portland Trail Blazers, but he did something that he hadn’t done in a very long time.

Curry, the NBA all-time leader in 3-pointers, failed to make a shot from downtown during the game for the first time in 268 straight games, according to Blazers analytics insider Tom Haberstroh.

Now, former Blazers and current Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard is the current leader in the category with 101 consecutive games dating back to last season with Portland.

The last time Curry failed to make a 3-point field goal in a game was on Nov. 8, 2018 against the Bucks, over five years ago. The Blazers did a good job defending Curry, who shot 2 of 12 from the field and 0 of 8 from downtown during the game for a measly seven-point outing. The last time Curry was held to single digits in a game was on March 12, 2022, where he scored just eight points, also against the Bucks.

Curry will have a chance to get revenge on the Blazers this Saturday when Portland comes to town. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT.
