General Hospital Episode Recap and Spoilers for Today, Tuesday, December 19, 2023:What happened today on General Hospital: Anna and Dante are in a dangerous situation. Sonny shuts down Cyrus. Carly is in trouble. Nina asks Michael for help. Lucy shares her frustrations with Kevin.

General Hospital Recap

Lucy gets to the Porth Charles Grille and sits down with Kevin to wait for Martin and Laura. Kevin sees Scotty looking sad at the bar and says he knows he should invite him to join them but Lucy says absolutely not. She explains to Kevin that Scotty wanted to go see Serena in Florida for Christmas and wanted her to go with him but she talked to Serena and realized it was a bad idea so they got Scotty to cancel the trip and he’s upset about it.

Lucy vents to Kevin about everything going on at Deception and then thanks him for letting her get it off her chest. He asks her if Brook Lynn shouldn’t be in the office over Tracy and she thinks he could be right. Scotty comes over and can’t believe she is rolling over for Tracy. Lucy and Scotty argue about her taking the deal and she tries to defend herself but he starts rambling about Liesl and then follows Tracy to the bar when she walks in.

Lucy starts to go after him but Kevin stops her. Tracy tells Scotty to go away but he tells her he was there first. Scotty asks why Tracy is drinking alone and she says he is doing the same thing. He reminds her about their fling and she pretends to not remember it before saying it was just a mistake she wishes she could forget. He brings up Luke and insults him and she throws her drink in his face.

Tracy asks Brook Lynn where she has been and why she didn’t answer her phone. Brook Lynn explains that she was Christmas shopping and Tracy tells her that they have to prepare for their meeting the next day. Brook Lynn argues that it’s Christmas Eve and Tracy tells her that she is going to have to change how she does things now that they are going to be working together. Ned comes in and overhears and asks what is going on.

Tracy tells Ned that Brook Lynn is going back to Deception and will be the boss this time. Ned asks Lois if she knew about this and she says that she did and thinks it’s great. Ned questions why Brook Lynn would go back to Deception but Lois interrupts and gets Tracy to push the meeting back until the day after Christmas. After Tracy leaves the kitchen Lois tells Ned that Brook Lynn isn’t going back to Deception for her, she is doing it so she can make things right for Maxie.

Brook Lynn and Lois explain the plan to Ned and Brook Lynn tells him that if she can’t get Tracy to give her controlling interest then she will find something to blackmail her with. Ned thinks it’s a good plan as long as Tracy doesn’t find out and turns it back around on Brook Lynn. Brook Lynn tells Ned she has to face Tracy head-on but has no intention of letting down her clients. She says she will work 24/7 to get Tracy out of Maxie’s company.

Lois asks about Lucy and Brook Lynn tells her that Lucy has made it clear that she will not work for her. Ned comments she is fighting an uphill battle but Brook Lynn is determined to make things right. Ned and Lois share a toast to their daughter and they have a touching family moment with Brook Lynn.

Nina knocks frantically on Ava’s door. Ava answers and is confused because they were supposed to meet in Rice Plaza. Nina tells her that she wants them to speak privately first because she needs her help to make sure her world doesn’t explode. Nina tells Ava about Ned blackmailing her and Ava shows her the gun that showed up in her drawer to show Nina that she has major problems too. Ava freaks out about everything going on and thinks someone is trying to frame her for Austin’s murder, possibly Nikolas. Nina suggests that they go see the girls in the living nativity to take her mind off of it.

Sonny and Donna are in Rice Plaza when Michael gets there and they talk about her appearing in the living nativity scene. Cyrus approaches them and says that he is excited about it. Cyrus tells Sonny that he is in the nativity too and Sonny has Michael take Donna elsewhere while he talks to Cyrus. He tells Cyrus he had him replaced in the show and before things get too heated Laura comes over with Martin who is dressed in Cyrus’ costume.

Cyrus is hurt but Laura asks him to not make a scene for her. Cyrus wishes them a merry Christmas before walking away and Laura wonders if he was really planning something or if it was just a coincidence. Sonny tells her that he’s not taking any chances. They talk about Charlotte and the shooting and Laura tells him that she is getting therapy.

Cyrus eavesdrops on Michael and Donna talking about the family plans for Christmas. Donna tells Michael that Sonny said it will be the best Christmas ever since Mama Nina is part of the family. Ava and Nina get to the Plaza and Sonny wants to know why they were late. Nina tells him they were having some girl talk. Ava sees Cyrus and doesn’t want him near Avery. Michael tells her that Sonny took care of it and she remembers their conversation about Austin.

Ava and Laura talk about Nikolas. Laura is sure he will be back when he is ready to deal with all of the pain he has caused. Nina talks to Michael privately and tells him about Ned blackmailing her. He tells her that maybe it’s time for Willow to know the truth. Nina threatens to tell Carly he has known it was her all this time if he tells Willow anything. Sonny notices how jumpy Ava is and she reminds him that they don’t know who killed Austin and that Nikolas is alive and plotting against her.

Sonny asks if there’s something she’s not telling him. Donna interrupts before she can answer and she asks if Ava and Avery can come over to open presents. Sonny distracts Donna and gets her to let them talk and invites Ava to join them after she is gone. Ava promises to not stay long so she doesn’t intrude on his first Christmas with Nina. Sonny says they will have many more so it’s ok. Michael thinks Carly will be more understanding than Sonny and Nina apologizes. He agrees to get her something to tell Ned and she thanks him. Neither of them realizes Cyrus has been eavesdropping on their conversation.

Anna and Dante wait on the docks for her Interpol contact and Dante worries that the WSB will still be able to get the evidence. Anna tells him that Brennan has been trying to destroy her life for too long and it stops tonight. Brennan’s man, Roman, lurks around the corner and listens to Anna tell Dante that Forsyth probably caused his own death by coming after the report because she hadn’t even remembered she had it until everything was happening to her.

Carly tells Sam how she knows John Brennan and Sam asks if she knows where Brennan went. Carly tells her that she doesn’t, just that he got a call and left. Sam gathers up her things and tells Carly that if she sees him again to keep her distance and call Dante. Carly researches Brennan on her phone and then closes up the diner when he walks in. He apologizes for having to leave so quickly before and Carly offers to heat something up for him.

Brennan happily accepts her offer. She goes to heat it up and then realizes she forgot her phone. He picks it up to hand it to her and sees that she is researching him and has found out his secret. He mentions Dante and she asks how she knows him. Brennan tells her that he knows all about her mobster ex-husband and all the people he cares about. He says the only question is what to do about her.

Sam calls Dante and tells him what she found out from Carly. He asks her to call the PCPD and let them know and tells Anna they have to get somewhere less open. Just as they are walking away, Roman shoots at them. He tells Anna to give him what he wants and no one else will get hurt. Anna says she wants to talk to Brennan and Roman taunts her about shooting a child. Anna puts her gun down and comes out and keeps Roman distracted until Dante can get behind him and knock him down to disarm him. He wants a deal but they say no. Sam tells them she thinks she knows where Brennan is.

Brennan tells Carly that it’s a shame because he was just starting to like her and she says that her Navy SEAL boyfriend will kill him if he does anything to do her. He pulls out zip ties for her wrists with a grin on his face. She knocks in him the face with a tray and Anna and Dante burst in with guns drawn. Carly thanks them for getting there and Anna gives the evidence to the police while Brennan is being arrested. Anna talks to Brennan before he is taken away and he wishes her luck and says she will need it.

Laura arrives at the Grille and tells Lucy that Martin won’t be able to join them and she is disappointed. At the Plaza, Michael, Donna, Martin, Sonny, Ava, and Nina all talk after the show and Cyrus watches them unhappily.
