Visual effects studio One Of Us has shared a VFX breakdown of some of the scenes made for Netflix’s show The Sandman. Expect to see plenty of blood, gore, and death in the reel.
The One of Us team, made up of almost 100 artists and led by VFX Supervisor James Brennan-Craddock, used 240 visual effects shots to “take the viewer on a supernatural journey into the realm of the Sandman, where dreams, and especially nightmares, come to life.”
The Sandman is a 2022 series adapted from Neil Gaiman’s dark fantasy comic book and brought to screens by executive producers Allan Heinberg and David S. Goyer. The Sandman’s main character is Morpheus, or Dream, the personification of dreams who, after being captured in an occult ritual and then escaping, tries to restore order in his realm. The show stars Tom Sturridge, Boyd Holbrook, Vivienne Acheampong, and Patton Oswalt.
One Of Us focuses on design and collaboration and has worked on Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, The Witcher, Bridgerton, Pinocchio, and many other projects.
