Young African lady bags bachelors degree with first class at UK university, wins $30K scholarship for masters

A young African lady named Chiamaka Okike has bagged a bachelor’s degree with first-class honors at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. She was awarded a scholarship worth 30,000 dollars to study for her master’s.

Chiamaka obtained her bachelor’s degree in Management Studies at the University of Leceister, United Kingdom with first-class honors. She shared her achievement of graduating with honors on her Linkedin.

She mentioned that she not only graduated with honors, she also graduated with a 95% dissertation from the university. ”I am so excited to announce that I have graduated with a First Class in Management Studies and a 95% dissertation from the University of Leicester,” she said.

Chiamaka stated that she loved every minute of writing her dissertation, despite the last-minute rush that comes with it. She added that she was lucky to have had a supervisor who was patient, attentive, kind, and believed in her idea from the beginning

She added that she would not have been able to achieve even half the mark she did without the support system of her supervisor.

Chiamaka also stated that she got boundless encouragement and inspiration from Matthew Allen who was a constant bright spot for throughout her entire time at the university.

She noted that she loved and enjoyed that the academic space can be expansive, creative, and so much bigger and better than she could have imagined. Chiamaka said though she is relieved to have been done, she is anticipating her next step.
