How did you combine English understatement with Italian raciness in the 1970s? It was quite simple – you ordered your Ferrari 365 GTC/4 in the rare factory shade of Verde Blenheim with a Scotch-coloured leather interior…
That’s exactly what a Milanese nobleman did in the early 1970s – a time when dark green was an unpopular choice in comparison to other, bolder colours. English readers will, of course, know that Verde Blenheim is named after the palace in Oxfordshire. One of the biggest castles in the United Kingdom, it was the birthplace of Winston Churchill. It was one of our readers who located this car, and brought it to Germany. Should his garage still have space, we can think of the perfect playmate for the Ferrari – a Bristol Blenheim, in racy Rosso Corsa no less?
