Steve Burton OUT At DOOL, Is Jason Morgan Returning To GH?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Steve Burton is no longer filming for Days of Our Lives. This casting news has fans wondering if that means the actor will return to GH as Jason Morgan. So, let’s discuss what could happen with Burton and what his next chapter could entail.

Jason Morgan’s Death

GH spoilers reveal that in November 2021, it was announced that Burton was no longer part of the General Hospital family.

Like Ingo Rademacher (Jasper “Jax” Jacks), Burton refused to comply with the vaccine mandate. As a result, both actors left the roles they played in the ABC soap for years.

Burton’s character was killed off when a tunnel collapsed. However, fans have long speculated that Jason’s death wasn’t final and the character could return in the future. Soaps do it all the time!

GH Spoilers: Steve Burton Joins DOOL

After leaving GH, Burton went through a highly publicized divorce from his wife, who was pregnant with another man’s baby.

While that divorce just got finalized, Burton went on living his life and working on his career. The two-time Daytime Emmy winner signed a one-year contract with the Peacock soap, per Daily Drama.

Harris began by having stints on Beyond Salem, then jumped to Days of Our Lives. Right now, Harris is in the middle of Salem’s drug crisis and Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) secret business dealing with Clyde Weston (James Read).

Steve Burton’s Casting Announcement

In January 2024, Burton filmed a goodbye message to fans of Days of Our Lives. Spoilers reveal that Burton explains in the video,

“Well, I just shot my final scenes here on Days of Our Lives and I just wanna say, thank you so much to the cast, to the crew. It’s been amazing. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. So thank you so much to the fans. It’s just, I’m always so full of gratitude. So thank you. Stay tuned.”

Since the soap films several months in advance, expect to continue seeing Harris until late spring 2024.

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Jason Morgan Returning?

Right after Burton’s announcement about leaving DOOL, rumors began circulating on social media. To be clear, Burton never said anything about Jason Morgan or GH.

While Jason could return to Port Charles or Burton might be added as a new character, nothing is certain right now.

If it turns out that Jason Morgan returns to General Hospital, that would really complicate things for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), that’s for sure!

Police forces should focus on tackling crime, not policing people’s tweets, Sir Keir Starmer said yesterday. Downing Street backed the police over the controversial practice last week, saying it was ‘important that the police can capture data relating to non-crime hate incidents where it is proportionate and necessary to do so to help prevent serious crimes which may later occur’.
