When Will Kelly Monaco Return As Sam McCall?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that actress Lindsay Hartley once again stepped into the role of Sam McCall during the first official episode of 2024 for the show. While she does a phenomenal job whenever she temporarily replaces actress Kelly Monaco as Sam, many fans are wondering when OG Sam McCall will return.

General Hospital Spoilers – Kelly Monaco Will Be Back, Very Soon

GH spoilers note that the Lindsay Hartley recast is only temporary. As per TV Line, Ms. Monaco was just “under the weather” and will only miss one episode. Fans can expect to see her return to the show by Friday, January 5th.

This is a huge relief for GH viewers, as there have been quite a few temporary recasts on the show, as of late.

Actress Nicole Paggi stepped in for Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) last week, and in December, Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) took time off to mourn the loss of her mom. Actress Courtney Fulk has been recast in the Joss role for a six-week run.

GH Spoilers – This Isn’t The First Time Lindsay Hartley Has Played Sam McCall

Linsday is the “go-to” actress when the soap needs someone to fill in for Kelly, and she does a fantastic job.

Hartley has been called in twice in the past to play Sam McCall, once in 2020 and then again in 2022. If Monaco is unwell, then Hartley is the perfect actress to fill in. She “gets” Sam McCall.

Kelly joined the rest of the cast this past week for GH’s primetime special, General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling.

Monaco participated in a special performance where she and her old Dancing With The Stars partner, Valentine Chmerkovskiy did a little fancy footwork.

In addition, she and fellow colleague, Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) were also part of a segment that shocked fans when they announced the return of actor Steve Burton, who played the infamous Jason Morgan character. No official return date for Burton has been listed as of yet.
