General Hospital actor Donnell Turner, who plays Curtis Ashford, is celebrating his 51st birthday today.

Donnell L. Turner was born on January 8, 1973, in Tacoma, Washington. He is the brother of Ejay “Blunt” Turner, who is a member of the 1990’s contemporary R&B group DRS.

As a child, Donnell and his family relocated to Redding, California. He fell in love with performing and did much of that in church plays. He also played basketball and trumpet in the band while in high school. Today, he is best known for his soap roles, which include Dr. Aiden Williams on Days of Our Lives, a doctor on The Young and the Restless, and Curtis on GH.
