A brilliant Nigerian man named Kabir Damola Bakare has bagged a Law degree with first-class at the University of Ibadan and won a full scholarship to continue his studies in Law school.
Kabir obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Ibadan (UI) with a remarkable first class honors. He shared his achievement of earning the degree on his Linkedin.
He stated that his academic journey was one filled with challenges, growth, and unforgettable experiences. He said alongside his academic pursuits he actively represented the University in national and international competitions.
Kabir was at the 30th African Moot Competition and the 17th KK Luthra Memorial Moot Competition, where he said he honed his legal skills and tackled complex issues. He also held various leadership positions, such as the Vice President of the Law Student Society in 2019 and the Chamber Head of the H.O. Davies Legal Chamber in 2022.
Kabir mentioned that these roles allowed him to contribute significantly to other student’s legal education by helping organize mentorship programs, lectures, moot clinics, and literary and debating clinics.
He thanked his mentors, friends, and family stating that they have been his pillars of strength throughout the academic adventure. He added that their guidance and encouragement have played a pivotal role in achieving the milestone.
He also shared that he was awarded the Davidson Oturu Mentorship Programme Law School Scholarship. Kabir said the opportunity not only covers the entire law school fees with a stipend but also includes invaluable mentorship during and after law school.
Kabir expressed his gratitude to Mr. Davidson Oturu for the incredible opportunity and for believing in his potential. He said he is eager to make his sponsor proud of him.
He stated that as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey, he is open to new opportunities and challenges. He added that he is eager to leverage his education and experiences to make a positive impact in the professional world.
Kabir said he is ready to continue on the transformative journey, fuelled by gratitude and a fierce determination for success at law school.
