Did Ava Really Press Charges Against Esme To Protect Her From Nikolas?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Ava Jerome (Maura West) may have chosen to press charges against Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) for her own protection.

Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) wants Ava to help take Esme down so she’s no longer in the picture for him to get Ace Prince-Cassadine’s (Joey and Jay Clay) custody.

General Hospital Spoilers – Take Her Down As In Kill Her Off?

Ava could only assume Nikolas wanted her to help eliminate Esme in a very real way, and although she wanted her punished, she may have wanted her protected.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) even questioned why Ava made sure Esme got such a light sentence-but the truth is, Esme’s safer behind bars than she is free.

Ava didn’t let on at all that Nikolas was in town and had contacted her, not even to Laura, and certainly not to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

She can understand why Nikolas might want Esme gone if he can’t get Ace, who will be his do-over in his mind; plus, what if she gets her memory back?

After screwing things up with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) so badly, Nikolas thinks Ace will be his clean slate-but what he may not realize is Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) confessed.

GH Spoilers – No Safer Place Than Behind Bars With Guards And Police

There’s no safer place than behind bars with guards and police in the holding cells of the PCPD-that’s the one place Ava’s sure Nikolas won’t go.

Even though Nikolas denied it, she still has her doubts that Nikolas wasn’t Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murderer and the anonymous buyer who made an offer on Wyndemere and Spoon Island.

The same person wrote the first note, which she destroyed, “You’re welcome” with a photo of Austin dead on the floor-and then, left a gun and wrote she might need it.

Albeit, Nikolas should have known that Ava has her own gun, so why would she need another-unless it was to frame her. For all Ava knew, this gun could have been the murder weapon.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome Must Deal With The Nikolas Cassadine Situation

Ava must deal with the Nikolas situation and the Esme situation separately-she also thought possibly Nikolas may have been the one to break into Wyndemere until she found out it wasn’t.

Even so she still hasn’t outed his presence to anyone, not even his mother and so there must be a reason for that as well.

Now that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is out on bail for beating Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) she may tell him about Nikolas.

On the other hand, she may not-meaning she has her own agenda for covering for Nikolas.

Her protecting and yet punishing Esme by pressing charges was just a lucky break-for both Ava and possibly Esme as well!
