A 27-year-old African lady named Grace Ogwo has achieved exceptional feats as she earned two master’s degrees and a doctorate degree in Mathematics at a young age.
Grace is a Nigerian lady who graduated from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia with a first-class degree in Mathematics. After she bagged her bachelors, she she was awarded a Mastercard Scholarship to further her postgraduate studies.
She won a scholarship under the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) to study a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Grace graduated from the University of Capetown with a 72% grade.
In 2019, Grace went on to study for another master’s in mathematics through a fee remission from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. She graduated with an 81% Summa Cum Laude grade.
Now, Grace has obtained a doctorate degree in Mathematics at the University of Kwazulu-Natal with twenty publications.
She shared her achievement stinging that though she did not start as an excellent student in Mathematics but now has a doctorate in Mathematics. Grace said she scored a D7 in her Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.
She also stated that she scored a C6 in her National Examination Council before she proceeded to the university to graduate with an excellent grade. Grace dedicated her achievements to her late father stating that she wished he was there to witness it.
Grace is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa She is also a Mathematics Tutor who helps students have a clear understanding of the subject of mathematics.
