The trio of actresses gathered at the podium with an empowering dialogue focused on the ongoing battle against gender inequality in the entertainment business.
Larson kicked things off in saying, ‘It is an absolute honor to stand beside my fellow superhero, Gal, and the woman who paved the way for us, Sigourney Weaver.’
Gadot added: ‘We are so grateful for you and its such an honor to be standing with you – we love you Sigourney!’
Gadot said that ‘men are all invited, but no shirts allowed,’ while Larson kept track of the prizes for said competition.

Weaver, 70, Larson, 30, and Gadot have all headlined their own action franchises: Weaver played Ripley in the Alien series, while Larson plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Gadot’s massive breakout came in the titular role of 2017’s Wonder Woman, with the sequel on the way this summer.
Their powerful message resonated further with the winner of the category, Joker composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, whose win made her the first ever woman from Iceland to claim an Academy Award.
Guðnadóttir continued with a message of strength and inspiration for the women watching: ‘To the girls, to the women, to the mothers, to the daughters who hear the music bubbling within: Please speak up – we need to hear your voices.’
