Tyson Fury has taken to social media to show that he was in ‘fantastic shape’ to face Oleksandr Usyk before the fight was postponed.
The Gypsy King was due to take on the Ukrainian in Saudi Arabia on February 17, however the contest has now been postponed after Fury suffered a nasty cut during training.

Fury’s preparation for the fight had been called into question with former world champion Johnny Nelson claiming that he was ‘getting turned over in the gym’ as preparations stepped up.
But taking to Instagram after the postponement of the fight, Fury posted an image of himself looking in great shape for the contest.
Sharing the snap in front of the mirror, Fury wrote: “Can’t help getting injured in sparring but what I can say was Usyk was in trouble, I am in fantastic shape.
“I will reshedule (as) soon as I can. 2024 a massive year for Team GK (Gypsy King).”
It remains to be seen when the rescheduled fight could take place, but Fury did admit he was ‘absolutely devastated’ to see the fight postponed.
In a statement, Fury said: “I am absolutely devastated after preparing for this fight for so long and being in such superb condition.
“I feel bad for everyone involved in this huge event and I will work diligently towards the rescheduled date once the eye has healed.
“I can only apologise to everyone affected including my own team, Team Usyk, the undercard fighters, partners, and fans as well as our hosts and my friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
