General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) is back in town as the holier-than-thou FBI agent with a score to settle with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Never having gotten over the loss of his little brother — Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) — Jagger still blames Sonny for introducing Stone to a world of drugs, where he contracted HIV, which led to his death.

As Jagger loops everyone around him at the PCPD in on the case, we have to question whether they’re being led on a wild goose chase.

Was that bullet intended for Sonny fired by Jagger himself — and is he back to make sure he doesn’t get caught when he finishes the job by throwing everyone off his scent?

General Hospital Spoilers — Out for Blood

It wouldn’t surprise any of us if Jagger is out for revenge and still wants to see Sonny pay for what he did to his little brother.

Somehow, Jagger still blames Sonny for the poor decisions Stone made all on his own.

Sure, Sonny was a major influence in Stone’s life. He took him under his wing and became something of a surrogate big brother to him — taking Jagger’s place in many ways.

If only Sonny hadn’t been wrapped up in a corrupt world of drugs and addiction that took Stone down in the process.

Unable to go back and change that, Jagger may finally feel like he’s got Sonny right where he wants him — in the sight of his gun’s scope.

GH Spoilers – Hint Some Things Never Change

It’s rather obvious that someone with inside knowledge of Sonny’s organization has sold out — and they may be the very person targeting him for all he knows. He thinks it’s Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but rumor has it that will be proven false all too soon.

Sonny will be back at square one trying to figure out who could possibly have this information on how he runs his business and what his weak spots are.

Could it be that Jagger has been planning this for years and using the information gleaned to slowly drive Sonny mad thinking he can’t trust anyone inside his organization?

The truth is, the only way out of this — if it was Jagger who shot at Sonny that day at the Metro Court Pool — is with Jagger paying the price for his actions.

The old Sonny wouldn’t flinch at taking out anyone who tried to do the same to him. But the Sonny who came back from Nixon Falls and a year away not knowing who he was?
