A$AP Rocky was cornered as he entered a performance venue and asked about the status of Rihanna‘s upcoming album.

The Am I Dreaming rapper, 35, was dressed in a long, double-breasted coat with dress pants and a shirt and tie on underneath as he was stopped by a fan for a selfie.

That’s when someone in the assembled crowd inquired about the Pon de Replay singer’s, 35, next album, which is being referred to as #R9 in nod to it being her ninth studio album.

Rocky – who took Rihanna out for Valentine’s Day dinner in Paris – was glib in his reply, merely quipping: ‘She’s working on it’ as he walked into the building shooting the peace sign at fans while surrounded by bodyguards.

It has been eight years since the Umbrella hitmaker released an album – her last was 2016’s Anti.

Rihanna has been busy over the years since her last album with her line of Fenty Beauty makeup, her Savage X Fenty lingerie line and the two kids she had back to back in 2022 and 2023.

They welcomed RZA Athelaston Mayers, in May 2022 and Riot Rose Mayers in August 2023.

In December at an event hosted by Fenty and Puma to launch Rihanna’s line of children’s shoes, the Bahamian-born singer hinted at an upcoming tour but said she wouldn’t tour without new music to play.

‘We’re always gonna go back on tour. I wanna go back on tour when there’s new music, right? We already know what that’s gonna be,’ she told ET in December.

‘I feel like it’s only fair that my fans get what they’ve been waiting on, which is new music, and after that, let’s just blow everything up,’ she added.

Rihanna has reportedly signed an $40million comeback deal with Live Nation so it is very probable her new music is coming in 2024.

Fans have been craving new music since she released the single off the 2022 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, ‘Lift Me Up.’

That marked her first single in six years at the time.

The parents of two have been wrapped up in parenting their two sons but took some time out to celebrate their love with a romantic dinner date in Paris.

The lovebirds got glammed up for their night out without their sons at the chic restaurant Cesar in the French capital.

Later in the evening, the Don’t Stop The Music singer was gifted a large bouquet of red roses by her boyfriend in celebration of the romantic day – with their bodyguard helping out with the surprise by delivering the flowers.

The two stars were first confirmed to be dating in November 2020 after previously collaborating together and spotted at events – such as Paris Fashion Week back in 2018.

At the time, a source told Entertainment Tonight, ‘They have always had amazing chemistry, and Rihanna relates to A$AP, and it [their relationship] feels natural, easy and fun.’

‘She feels very comfortable around him since they’ve known each other for such a long time and also feels a connection to him because his dad is from Barbados.’
