As reports continue to pour in about Kylian Mbappe and his potential move to Real Madrid in the summer, journalist Fabrizio Romano has brought the latest scoop on the situation with the Frenchman.
The 25-year-old will leave PSG as a free agent at the end of the season when his contract expires and despite there having been some murmurs about talks with Manchester City, the forward appears to be headed for Real Madrid.
In fact, Romano reports that Mbappe and his entourage are only negotiating with the Merengues and no other club.
There have been some claims that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has already agreed everything and signed his deal with Real Madrid.
But Romano insists that nothing is signed at this point, although negotiations between the two parties are in a very advanced stage, with only some small details remaining to be worked out.
The Italian journalist also goes on to state that Mbappe’s fixed salary will be similar to what the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. are earning at Real Madrid.
But, the total package could be higher when one includes the bonuses as well as image rights.
There has been no official announcement made by any of the parties at this point, be it Mbappe, PSG, or Real Madrid.
And Romano affirms that both Mbappe and PSG will officially announce his departure only after the superstar has signed his contract with Real Madrid.
On the Merengues’ side, it is still unclear as to when the announcement will be made, but everything appears to be on track for the transfer to go through without any hitches.
