As Chelsea crashed out of the EFL Cup at the final hurdle on Sunday, the first thought for many was on who can come in and get the club out of the mess they have found themselves in.
It was another final where they had failed to find the net in, and this did not come as a result of them not creating a number of chances in front of goal.
The likes of Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer had great chances to win the game for the Blues, however were unable to convert from close range.
Striker on the day, Nicolas Jackson, clearly worked hard up against Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, however never really brought a goal threat to Wembley on Sunday.
If those at the club have been looking around the Premier League in 2024 in particular, they will not have struggled to see a striker who doesn’t have an issues finding the net.

Ivan Toney saw the first half of his campaign go to waste following his ban from the game, however has picked up exactly where he left off as far as finding the net goes.
He has also been a name on the agenda as far as Chelsea are concerned for potentially signing a striker, with them considering signing him before.
It has been claimed in the past that a fee of around £80m was going to be required to see a deal go through for the Englishman, however that is likely to drop now he has committed his future to them for the rest of the campaign.
It is likely the Blues are not the only side who will be interested in signing Toney at the end of the season, however they should know that he fits their squad like a glove at this stage.
