When Emma Stone first splashed onto the scene in films like Superbad, Zombieland, and The House Bunny (and then of course in her big breakthrough, Easy A), she quickly proved that she has an unmatched comedic timing. And even as the Arizona native continues embracing more dramatic roles, her comedic skills can’t help but shine through. Just look at her collaborations with Yorgos Lanthimos, like The Favourite and Poor Things.
So, as someone with a knack for making us laugh, it makes sense that Stone was drawn to a comedian. In fact, when she first met her now husband, Dave McCary, it was on the set of Saturday Night Live, where McCary was working as a writer and segment director.
Ahead, see the complete timeline of Stone and McCary’s relationship, from their SNL meet-up to their married life with children.
