Kim Kardashian seized the opportunity to pass on a bit of influencer wisdom while hobnobbing with the stars at Paris Fashion Week.
During the Balenciaga runway show, she found herself seated next to bombshell movie star Salma Hayek.
During a bit of downtime before the models hit the catwalk, Kim, 43, found herself teaching Salma, 57, how to take an expert selfie.
A grateful Salma posted about the moment on Instagram, including some footage of Kim showing her how to snap a picture of them both.
Salma also included a snapshot of the final product, proving that Kim’s skills had failed to rub off – in Salma’s selfie much of her own face was out of frame.

‘Let’s face it, I’m no good at selfies. It’s best to let the queen, @kimkardashian, handle that,’ the From Dusk TIll Dawn actress wrote in the caption.
She continued in the same self-deprecating vein: ‘But my video footage is not too bad especially when I’m chewing gum.’
Salma is married to French tycoon François-Henri Pinault, the longtime chairman and CEO of Balenciaga’s parent company, the Kering Group.
Kim, meanwhile, has also enjoyed a long association with the fashion house, frequently modeling its designs before becoming a brand ambassador this January.
Both Kim and Salma were heaped with opprobrium last summer when Balenciaga was slammed for an ad campaign involving children.
Some pictures showed children holding teddy-bear-shaped purses that were dressed in what appeared to be bondage gear.
One of the snaps was of a bag on a desk strewn with papers – one of which was a United States Supreme Court ruling involving child pornography.
A particularly controversial photo showed a child lying down on a couch next to a coffee table with empty wineglasses and Stella Artois chalices.
Kim took a selfie that demonstrated her social media talents, with the angle, framing and lighting all flattering to both her and Salma

Although Kim was not part of the campaign, her past association with the brand made her a lightning rod for the mounting backlash.
Under gathering pressure, she issued a statement denouncing the campaign, saying she was ‘disgusted’ and ‘outraged’ by the pictures.
‘I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with – & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.’
Salma on the other hand kept silent, which made her a target of blowback given her husband’s position at the top of Balenciaga’s parent company.
