Speaking to Daily Mail, former Real Madrid and Brazil striker Ronaldo has claimed that Kylian Mbappe can win the Ballon d’Or once he signs for the Merengues.
Mbappe, 25, is in the final few months of his contract at PSG and it is confirmed that he will be on his way out at the end of the season.
A move to Real Madrid is all but confirmed at this point, with the negotiations understood to be in the final stages and an agreement on the horizon.
With the Frenchman all set to land in the Spanish capital, Brazilian legend Ronaldo has backed him to win the Ballon d’Or in the near future.
“We have to wait until it’s official, but everyone is excited about Kylian Mbappé in Madrid. I think he will finally win the Ballon d’Or if he goes to Real Madrid,” Il Fenomeno stated.
Ronaldo also commented on Jude Bellingham, claiming that the England international reminds him of Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane.
“I was watching a few matches at the Bernabéu and I was looking for Bellingham. […] He reminds me a little bit of Zidane with his quality,” he stated.
“I love the way Jude Bellingham plays. […] I love to watch him play, he goes forward all the time.”
On the rumours of Erling Haaland also ending up at Real Madrid in the near future, Ronaldo added:
“I think Haaland is very happy at Manchester City at the moment, but we will see. I hope we can see [Mbappé, Haaland, Bellingham] together in one club. It will remind me of the Galácticos, if they all end up at Real Madrid.”
