Valencia are guaranteed to sell 23-year-old this summer, Chelsea have him on their radar

Chelsea signed Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic in the last summer transfer window.

However, it looks like Chelsea could be interested in signing another goalkeeper before the start of next season.

According to Estadio Deportivo, the Blues and a few other top European clubs all have Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili on their radar.

The same outlet has also claimed that there is a feeling inside Valencia that the 23-year-old leaving the Mestalla is practically guaranteed.

As well as Sanchez and Petrovic, Chelsea still have Kepa Arrizabalaga on their books. He is currently on loan at Valencia’s Spanish rivals Real Madrid but looks unlikely to remain there beyond this season.

Chelsea have Giorgi Mamardashvili on their radar

Chelsea do not seem to be fully convinced with Sanchez and Petrovic as they continue to be linked with new goalkeepers.

Mamardashvili is supposedly one name that the Blues are looking at, but he is not the only shot-stopper who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

According to journalist Dean Jones, Chelsea have an interest in Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale, and a switch across London could make a lot of sense for the 25-year-old.

Ramsdale has lost his place between the sticks at the Emirates to David Raya. If Arsenal’s London rivals can offer him guaranteed minutes, then a move there could be perfect for him.

Again, though, Chelsea still possess Sanchez and Petrovic. Sanchez is a Premier League-proven goalkeeper, while Petrovic has not performed poorly when called upon this season.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s team have actually won more games in the top flight with Petrovic in the side (six) than with Sanchez (five).

Ultimately, it may be worth going into next season with Sanchez and Petrovic as the team’s first-choice and second-choice goalkeepers unless an incredible opportunity in the transfer market presents itself. Is Mamardashvili that? Probably not, the Georgian has not done anything to suggest that he is the next Alisson or Ederson.
