Journalist Joel Silva has stated that Chelsea have just paid another instalment in the transfer of one of their top young talents.
He took to the Twitter page of ‘Atencao Vascainos’ to state that they have just paid for around £5.5m of the players transfer fee.
Chelsea have not been shy to spend the big money since new owner Todd Boehly took over, with the total for transfer fees reaching around a Billion Pounds.

Chelsea spending big on youngsters
A large portion of that has been on youngsters too, with the intention being to bring them in before they were inevitably snapped up by fellow elite sides.
One of the players there is the most promise about is Andrey Santos, with him already being capped for Brazil.
It has already been reported that the Blues think they have signed a player with the potential to become ‘special’, and he has gone someway to proving this already.
After seeing the first half of his season wasted at Nottingham Forest, Santos has begun to star for Strasbourg, recently being named young player of the month in Ligue 1.
Chelsea pay another £5.5m for Andrey Santos
While the fee they paid for the youngster was already relatively high in comparison to his experience, Silva has stated another instalment of that fee has just been paid.
He said: “According to information, Vasco received another instalment relating to the sale of midfielder Andrey Santos to Chelsea, around 6.5 million euros. The player is entitled to 30% of this amount, approximately 11 million reais. However, Vasco has not yet passed on this amount to the athlete.
“Vasco prioritizes paying salaries and image on time and negotiates with Andrey’s staff to make the payment even in instalments, but they don’t accept it. Because the money would be transferred and the board should not have kept the amount.”
It remains to be seen if next season would be too soon for Santos to make an impact on the first team at Stamford Bridge.
Reports have already stated that his current loan side would be interested in extending his spell there for next season if the chance arises.
