SYNOPSIS:Following the trial of Arne Johnson in November 1981, The Conjuring 4 is likely to unfold in the timeline afterward. With several intriguing cases from the real-life Warrens’ experiences, the film may delve back into a haunted house scenario. In 1986, they investigated both the Snedeker house and the Smurl Haunting, both notorious for their alleged demonic infestations.
In February 2024, it was confirmed that Michael Chaves, known for directing The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II, would helm the new movie. Originally titled The Conjuring: Last Rites, producer James Wan hinted at a name change. Wan, along with Peter Safran, returns as a producer, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick penning the script. Filming is set to commence this summer in Atlanta. Although not officially confirmed, it’s highly probable that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Their return seems imminent, given their integral roles in the series. For those eager to see the Warrens again, catch a glimpse of them in The Nun 2’s post-credit scene.
