Zayn Malik has made a rare comment about relationship with ex Perrie Edwards.
Zayn Malik has opened up about his ex-fiancée Perrie Edwards and revealed the reason for their split.
The former One Direction star dated the Little Mix star for three years from 2012 to 2015.
The 31-year-old confessed that prior to Perrie he had never even “brought a girl home” to meet his family before.
In a rare comment, Zayn opened up about why he believes their relationship did not work out.
He told Nylon magazine: “I was engaged and [planned to get] married and I didn’t know anything about anything at that point.”

“I was legally allowed to do everything, but I didn’t know.”
The outlet suggested that he wanted to “recreate the normal young adulthood” that he did not get to experience after becoming a member of One Direction in his early teens.
Zayn is now father to three-year-old daughter Khai whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
