Furious Americans slam Hollywood’s ‘out of touch and snobby’ liberal elite after first Alec Baldwin then Sharon Stone brand millions ‘ignorant and uneducated’ for voting in Trump

Furious Americans have slammed Hollywood’s ‘out of touch and snobby’ liberal elite after Alec Baldwin and Sharon Stone branded millions ‘uneducated’ for voting in Donald Trump.

Baldwin and Stone’s remarks were met with furious backlash by their fellow Americans, who took to X to call the Hollywood stars ‘entitled, elitist snob losers’.

One user shared a poster he said applied to Stone which states: ‘Your only job is to entertain us. To take us away from reality. Your personal opinion means nothing to us. […] Sing. Act. Shut up.’

‘As we celebrate Thanksgiving, maybe it’s time for Hollywood to show some gratitude toward the people that have paid for the lifestyle they lead,’ another person wrote, with a third adding that the ‘uneducated’ comment was ‘arrogant’.

The criticism comes after Baldwin, 66, claimed that Americans were ‘uninformed’ while appearing at the 42nd Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy on Monday, where he also stated that Americans ‘know little or nothing’ about world issues during a press conference.

‘There’s a hole, a vacuum… a gap in information for Americans,’ he said in a clip shared by The Hollywood Reporter on X. ‘Americans are very uninformed about reality, what’s really going on – climate change, Ukraine, you name it.’

A day later, Sharon Stone unleashed her own rant at the same festival, calling US voters ‘ignorant’. Stone added that her fellow Americans elected Trump because they are ‘uneducated’ and don’t travel enough.

Their outspoken criticism comes as many Hollywood celebrities, including Ellen Degeneres and Eva Longoria, have fled America because of Trump’s resounding election success.

‘My country is in the midst of adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything,’ Stone said

‘Adolescence is naïve and ignorant and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence.’

‘We haven’t seen this before in our country. So Americans who don’t travel, who 80 percent don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naivete,’ she added.

As the two actors were called elitist for their rants, others slammed them as out of touch.

One user on X said: ‘Hollywood elite are out of touch and have become irrelevant.’

‘You couldn’t script an entitled Hollywood celebrity better than this. Hilarious,’ another chimed in about Stone’s remarks.

‘I guess she hasn’t heard. We don’t give a rats a** about Hollywood anymore, esp an irrelevant has been,’ a third added.

Their attitude was ‘exactly why Americans voted for Trump – he stood up for everyday people ignored by these self-proclaimed experts,’ according to another person.

Stone’s statements come after the millionaire actress pledged earlier this year that she would leave America for a new life in Europe if Trump won the election.

She said in July that she is thinking of buying a house in Italy if Trump was re-elected, saying: ‘I am certainly considering a house in Italy. I think that’s an intelligent construct at this time.’

She wasn’t the only celebrity devastated by Trump’s landslide election victory to have pledged to flee America in order to give their families a better life.

Eva Longoria, a Texas native who has been living abroad for work, is taking permanent residency in Mexico and Spain with her husband and son in order to ‘escape’ her ‘dystopian’ homeland.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi put their California mansion up for sale after the election results came in and kickstarted their ‘retirement’ in the UK, with sources alleging the ‘US doesn’t like her because of her 𝑠e𝑥ual preferences’.

The couple may soon see some familiar faces in Britain as several American stars, including America Ferrera and Barbra Streisand have said they are considering taking up residency in the UK.

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling were already living in the UK and are now planning to stay put, a sentiment echoed by British-American actress Minnie Driver, who returned to London after nearly three decades of living in Los Angeles.

Sophie Turner also returned to her native UK last year after realizing she had to ‘get the f*** out’ of America due to gun violence and the overturning of Roe v Wade.

While some American stars have actually followed through with their plans to live abroad, an election-fueled celebrity mass exodus is not likely.

Dozens of celebrities – including Miley Cyrus, Samuel L. Jackson and Whoopi Goldberg, who to this day refuses to say Trump’s name – pledged to flee the states after the Republican’s first election victory in 2016 but ultimately back-peddled on those promises.
