Showing off her fashion credentials: Anne Hathaway looked chic in a shirt dress and peep toe heels as she left her New York City hotel on Saturday

She’s come a long way! The star had previously poked fun at her earlier fashion sense, as she shared this snap on Instagram of an ensemble worn to the premiere of her 2004 film Ella Enchanted

Anne wore an asymmetrical white shirt dress with three-quarter length sleeves and slits along the sides.

She coupled the trendy number with a pair of daring black peep toe pumps with cut-outs along the sides and metallic heels.

She accessorized with stackable gold rings and coordinating, dangling earrings, while carrying a large, black leather handbag.

The Oscar winner wore her short, brunette tresses in tousled curls, with a wisp framing her face on each side.

Anne hid her eyes behind a pair of over-sized brown sunglasses, and showed off a bright red lipstick.

The fashionista was joined by her husband – whom she wed in 2012 – who sported a sleek blue button down, tucked int dark wash jeans.

He accessorized the look with a black, leather belt, and finished it off with coordinating black, leather boots.

Anne was spotted on her way to an event at the Apple store in Soho to promote her upcoming comedy The Intern.

The film, written and directed by Nancy Meyers, follows Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro), a 70-year-old widower who’s discovered that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, so he takes on a senior internship at an online fashion site founded and run by Jules Ostin (Anne).

Nat Wolff, Adam DeVine, and Andrew Rannells also star in the upcoming movie, due in theaters September 25.
