INTER MIAMI manager Gerardo Martino has confirmed that he is keen on signing former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez.
Should Martino be successful in signing the Uruguayan, fans could be treated to the prospect of the forward once again linking up with Lionel Messi.

Messi, Suarez and Neymar formed the potent ‘MSN’ strikeforce which won the continental treble in the 2014-15 season consisting of LaLiga, The Champions League and the Copa Del Rey.
In total the trio played 113 matches together, scoring 253 goals.
Suarez was linked with a move to Miami over the summer but ultimately remained with Brazilian side Gremio.
Suarez joined Gremio in December 2022 partly due to its close proximity to his homeland of Uruguay.
But the move to Inter Miami appears to be back on the cards after the forward announced he would leave the Brazilian club at the end of the Brazilian season in December.
From that point, Suarez would be a free agent and Martino confirmed he has Suarez in his plans for the 2024 MLS season.
Martino said he has conducted plans for next season which includes Suarez as a member of the squad.
Speaking ahead of Miami’s game against Charlotte tomorrow, Goal report that Martino said: “Within our analysis of the upcoming season, and the needs we may have, we have an analysis with Luis and an analysis without Luis.
“So when the moment arrives to make Suarez’s situation with respect to Inter Miami official, we’ll be prepared to go in the corresponding direction.”
Should Suarez join the MLS side, he would find himself reunited with three ex-Barcelona team-mates in the form of Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
Martino also previously managed Barcelona for the 2013-14 season, the year before Suarez arrived at the club.
He resigned following a disappointing campaign after the star-studded team failed to win a trophy.
