Taylor Swift, 33, Flaunts Endless Legs in NYC with Denim Shorts, Despite Fans Disregarding Pleas Not to ‘Defend’ Against Ex John Mayer, 45

Taylor Swift had legs for days when she was spotted dashing around New York City this week amid her blockbusting Eras World Tour.

The 33-year-old pop star was the image of summery chic, slipping into a stylish floral blouse that hugged her enviably svelte frame.

She tucked the top into a high-waisted pair of black shorts that allowed her to put her vertiginous pins on display as she pounded the pavement.

Sweeping her trademark blonde locks back into a high ponytail, she warded off the June rays with a sleek pair of sunglasses.

Her latest sighting comes after her fans ignored her call for them not to ‘defend’ her against ex John Mayer ahead of the rerelease of her Speak Now album as some Swifties have gone as far as calling him a groomer.

In recent days, it was also claimed that Taylor turned down an invitation to appear on Meghan Markle‘s podcast despite receiving a ‘personal letter’ from Duchess.

Meanwhile, diehard fans of Taylor have been unrelenting toward the John, 45, on social media in the days after she performed her Mayer diss track Dear John live for the first time in 11 years.

As Mayer was 32 when he dated Taylor at 19 back in 2009, both were consenting adults at the time of their relationship but that did not stop fans from making some bold accusations about their age range on social media.

The drama began last week when Swift had insisted to her fans that she is not re-releasing her album Speak Now for her Swifties to ‘defend’ her against exes.

During a tour date in Minneapolis on Saturday, June 17 the megastar talked about the rerelease of he highly-successful 2010 album as she urged her rabid fans to hold back their outrage.

She said: ‘I’m 33 years old, I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19.’

Taylor even seemed to allude to the song not actually being about her 45-year-old ex like is widely believed as she said before performing the song Dear John for the first time in over a decade.

The A-lister said: ‘I’m not putting this album out so you can go on the internet and defend me against someone you think I wrote a song about 14 million years ago.’

Ever since the single debuted in 2010, fans have assumed the lyrics are about John Mayer, with whom she had a rancorous breakup earlier that year.

Diehard fans of the 33-year-old pop megastar have been unrelenting toward the 45-year-old Your Body Is A Wonderland hitmaker on social media in the days after she performed her Mayer diss track Dear John live for the first time in 11 years

One Swiftie wrote on Twitter: ‘taylor swift, age 33, played ‘would’ve could’ve should’ve’ as the surprise song for her 19th show, a song about john mayer who, at age 33, dated (groomed) 19 year old taylor swift. what a mastermind she is.’

According to UrbanDictionary.com a groomer ‘is someone who builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them.’

A different fan took to Twitter to write: ‘my only thought on her making a statement about john is that she did it because john mayer is annoying. he’s 100% the type to post a screenshot of one of you telling him to lay down on a busy highway with a long ass statement to garner sympathy. so like.. whatever.’

Other Swifties took a totally different approach as they shared screenshots of them blocking Mayer on the microblogging site along with eerily similar images.

At least four fans posted blocking screenshots with messages which read: ‘TAYLOR SWIFT PLAYED DEAR JOHN SO I BLOCKED JOHN MAYER’

In recent days, it has also been claimed that Taylor turned down an invitation to appear on Meghan Markle‘s podcast despite receiving a ‘personal letter’ from Duchess.

The pop singer was asked by Meghan herself to appear on Archetypes, but she declined through her representative, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The newspaper summed up Harry and Meghan’s dealings with Netflix as ‘big ideas, subpar execution’ after executives of the streaming giant and Spotify reportedly said they were ‘underwhelmed’ by the pair’s lack of strong ideas and productivity.

Since quitting their royal duties in 2020 and jetting off to California to live in their new $14million nine-bedroom mansion, the couple have been building a complex network of ‘entertainment’ companies to help promote ‘their truth’.

Following Spotify’s axing of Archetypes and its £18million partnership with the coupleNetflix has also said it is unlikely to renew its deal after it expires in 2025.

It has been confirmed, however, that the pair are currently creating a Great Expectations-inspired show for Netflix called Bad Manners.

Described as a prequel to the Charles Dickens classic, the show retells the story of a lonely Miss Haversham living in a patriarchal society.

Meanwhile, back on June 17, the songstress had also teased her upcoming re-release of Dear John as part of ‘Taylor’s Version’ of her 2010 album Speak Now.

In the midst of her legal battle with Scooter Braun over her original masters, Taylor decided years ago to re-record all of her old albums, releasing new ‘Taylor’s Versions’ to which she would own the rights.

‘I’m putting this album out because I want to own my music and I believe any artist who has a desire to own their music should be able to,’ she said during her latest Minneapolis show, according to USA Today.
