King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton of the British Royal Family welcomed about 170 guests at the solemn state banquet, including the Kpop girl group Blackpink .

All four members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa were present. They wore gorgeous, luxurious outfits and strode down the red carpet of the palace as they entered the party.

In King Charles III’s speech, he praised Blackpink for using their fame to care about environmental issues.

“It is especially inspiring to see the young Korean generation pursuing justice. I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, collectively known as Blackpink, for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience, as Ambassadors for the COP 26 Presidency ( Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) of the United Kingdom, and subsequently an advocate of the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

I admire how they are able to prioritize these important issues, as well as become global superstars,” the king said.

He mentioned the global hit “Gangnam Style” by rapper PSY, compared “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho with director Danny Boyle of the film series “Slumdog Millionaire”, “28 Days Later”, ” Trainspotting”…, comparing “Squid Game” with “James Bond”, and putting BTS’s “Dynamite” on the scale with The Beatles’ “Let It Be”.

It is known that Blackpink specially came to England to attend the state banquet. Previously, in July, Blackpink made history when they became the first Korean group to perform at the UK’s largest music festival – BST Hyde Park.
