The tales are all the same, and there is nothing but one thing after another. A great deal of shouting and screaming can be heard. For me, this series got off to a rocky start. This is not the kind of narrative or aesthetic that I usually like.

However, One Piece is unparalleled in terms of its success and popularity among manga readers. Supposedly filled with hilarious and inventive fantastical elements, it has become a global craze. Since there are facts and easter eggs are hidden from it’s viewers. It was pleasantly surprised by how much it was loved by its audience despite initial skepticism and reservations.

1. Sanji was supposed to be Naruto

Since Sanji became a member of the Straw Hats, he has made significant contributions to the team’s overall success. It’s easy to see why Sanji is so beloved by One Piece followers: he’s got an interesting backstory, an amazing personality, and some very sizzling skills.

There have been more than a hundred chapters of the manga, but this list has been compiled for the readers’ convenience since there are still certain aspects of Sanji that have only been covered in other sources.

Sanji’s fame has skyrocketed, and he is now among the most recognizable anime characters of all time. Even if they have never heard of One Piece, most people will remember his name.

Even before the series began, Oda had in mind a different name for Sanji. Sandman just came to light in an interview with Oda from 2015, in which the author reveals that the inspiration for Sanji’s first name was the shape of his eyebrows.

Do I detect a crease in Sanji’s brow as you speak? Naruto, a white and pink “swirling” sauce, is traditionally used to top off a bowl of Japanese noodles.

Oda said he changed the title because Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto manga came out precisely two years after his own One Piece series. He said that he changed Naruto’s name so quickly because he anticipated the manga to run for many more volumes.

However, Oda altered more than just Sanji’s identity and physical appearance. Sanji’s first appearance as a gunslinger is shown in the One Piece Color Walk artbook.

In contrast to the current iteration, who notoriously refuses to use his hands in combat because he needs them to cook, this new one utilizes them. In contrast, Sanji is a student of “Black Leg” martial arts, which emphasizes explosive kicking techniques and fluid gymnastics.

2. Lucky Roux Killed Someone

Lucky Roux is a rotund guy who always carries along a rack of meat. He always has goggles covering his eyes. He is the one crew member who doesn’t seem to have aged nearly as much as the rest of them. Roux always seems cheerful no matter how dire the circumstances, as when Shanks is at odds with Whitebeard.

It would seem that Roux is a pretty jovial pirate since he often associates with Yasopp, another member of Shanks’ crew. Whenever the Red Hair Pirates are mentioned, generally when anything major occurs, he is there, suggesting he is one of Shanks’ most trusted crew members.

Like Benn Beckman and Yasopp, he has this quality. He commits the first murder in One Piece, establishing the series’ central theme: the life of a pirate is fraught with peril. But what if it turns out that’s not really accurate? According to the devil fruit hierarchy disclosed by Oda, in my opinion, Lucky Roo has the superior Ope Ope no mi.

Noro noro mi When compared to Law’s df, Mi’s primary ability—manipulation of space—is on a whole other level of sophistication. Awakening Lucky Roo would not require him to trade places with an additional object, and his powers would not be confined to the “room” they are in.

In both the anime and the manga, Lucky Roux shoots a mountain bandit in the head at point-blank range, making him the first character to kill someone. Also, he was the first one who discovered the Devilfruit. Several pages of the Romance Dawn include a plump fellow among Shanks’ crew who seems to have been reimagined as Lucky Roux.

Lucky Roux is not only shown in a section that is a carbon copy of the original Romance Dawn, but he also occupies an identical spot in the human chain as the original fat crew members did when they danced through the pirate’s life.

3. One Piece was Planned to End Earlier

Both seasoned fans and newcomers to the popular adventure anime “One Piece” know how daunting it may be to delve headfirst into the series. The most challenging part is getting started.

After almost twenty years on television, “One Piece” has reached the milestone of airing its thousandth episode. Since Luffy and the Straw Hats haven’t been seen for so long, nobody can possibly know what’s happened in that time.

Incredibly, the plot of “One Piece” revolves around Monkey D. Luffy’s quest to become pirate king by retrieving the titular treasure.

Two decades have passed since the story’s humble beginnings, and in that time, Luffy and his crew have visited dozens of islands and fought season-long battles against some of the most formidable enemies that the open oceans have to offer.

The length of “One Piece,” based on Eiichiro Oda’s similarly enduring manga series of the same name, has become intrinsic to the show’s character.

It’s become a crucial part of the plot, right up there with Luffy and the Straw Hats. Therefore, it may come as a shock to some fans to hear that the entire series was intended to finish much sooner.

Eiichiro Oda, creator of the manga and devoted fan of every aspect of “One Piece,” has said in the past that he intended to wrap up the story just five years after its inception in 2002.

This would have meant that “One Piece” would have concluded somewhere within the Arabasta arc, even though the manga continued on for at least two more arcs in 2002. Since he said “One Piece” was 80% complete only a year ago, it’s questionable whether he’ll keep to that schedule.

Seven infamous pirates who sided with the oppressive global authority formed the Shichibukai, or “Seven Warlords of the Sea.” Whatever the case may be for the show’s prolonged length, it’s hard not to speculate about how things might have concluded if “One Piece” had finished in 2002.

4. Most characters were Based On Real Ones

In One Piece, young Monkey D. Luffy dreams of one day becoming King of the Pirates during a period known as the Great Pirate Era. In addition to Luffy, Oda has invented a plethora of additional individuals in One Piece; many of them are products of his very own imagination, while some are based on actual people from history.

The majority of them have exactly the same remarks as the personalities they were inspired by, whereas other people have the same traits as respective real-life models. Here are some historical people who inspired roles in One Piece.

When Luffy initially began his career as a pirate, Alvida proved to be one of the very initial enemies he encountered. One of East Blue’s most dreaded pirates, she led the Alvida crew. In time, Alvida joined forces with Buggy and has never left his side.

The legendary pirate Awlida is a clear source of inspiration for her. Awlida was a lady who posed as a male so that she could take charge of her gang. She is widely acknowledged to have ascended to the throne of Denmark at some point. There are many mysteries surrounding her being around, despite the fact that she seems to be a highly powerful person.

Roronoa Zoro, the Straw Hat Pirates’ swordsman, has earned a stellar reputation as one of the most formidable pirates in the history of the One Piece universe. He plans to challenge Dracule Mihawk, the prevailing world champion swordsman, for the title.

Zoro was inspired by a real-life French pirate named François l’Olonnais, who operated in the latter half of the 1600s, although not many fans are aware of this. Even though it’s called “Roronoa” in Japanese rather than “Zoro,” the inspiration for Zoro’s initial mention comes straight from him.

5. Blackbeard Inspiration

Along with some other famous pirates, Blackbeard was inspired by real life. According to the most up-to-date information, Blackbeard is still alive in the One Piece universe.

He is the leader of the Blackbeard Pirates and one of the Four Great Emperors of the oceans in the New World, making him an important figure and a prominent opponent in the series.

Blackbeard’s warped personality and desire for power made him a legendary figure. He first joined the Whitebeard Pirates while covering up his actual objectives and studying demon fruits in secret. He wanted to use these magical fruits to give himself superhuman abilities.

Blackbeard and his minions took advantage of Whitebeard’s Pirates’ weakened state during the conclusion of a critical fight in the Paramount War and murdered him.

Then, Blackbeard did something that had never been done before in the One Piece universe: he acquired Whitebeard’s Gura Gura no Mi, allowing himself the only person ever to have the ability to use two different devil fruits. His image as a fearsome and deadly pirate has been bolstered by this achievement.

Blackbeard has become Luffy’s greatest opponent due to his many treacheries, and he may even become the series’ primary antagonist. He has been the lead character of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy’s worst enemy throughout the whole plot.

A common fan theory is that Blackbeard will drown in the ocean during his last fight with Luffy. This theory is bolstered by the revelation in chapter 1063 that all the major Blackbeard Pirates are patrons of the Devil Fruit and are, hence, unable to swim. Since Blackbeard’s crew would find themselves powerless if he were to go overboard, this is the most plausible scenario.

6. Zoro as Buggy’s  Body Guard

Zoro is a formidable fighter and a major style point for the Strawhat Pirates. There are no more fearsome three than Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy.

Zoro was originally intended to be one of Buggy the Clown’s bodyguards, which may come as an unexpected delight to you, but Oda reveals this fact in volume three of the manga. Zoro actually did avoid disaster. Zoro also has the advantage of having battled this opponent previously, giving him a sense of familiarity.

Zoro, though, has made great strides since then, whereas Buggy has made almost no progress at all. This means that although Zoro has a good idea of what to anticipate from Buggy and his separating ability, Buggy is stepping into the unknown without any prior knowledge of Zoro’s present capability. Whether you see Buggy as smart or foolish, he just cannot compete with Zoro.

Even though Buggy the Clown is a complete idiot, he proves to be rather dangerous in Luffy and Zoro’s first confrontation with him. Zoro slays the pirate with relative ease.

But that’s simply another day for Buggy, who stabs Zoro in the back while he’s unaware of it and then puts themselves back together. The battle with Buggy is brief, but he is the only opponent that Zoro hasn’t been able to win against thus far.

Zoro runs into Braham after he becomes disoriented in Upper Yard on Skypeia. The rebel is nimble on the move thanks to his jet shoes and very accurate with his weapons, even at long range. Zoro has trouble connecting until he tries out his own long-range move, a soaring slash. That was then, this is now.

During the enormous fight over Fishman Island, Zoro’s post-time-skip prowess, or his vicious one-liners, are still too much for Hyouzou to handle. Zoro shatters the merman’s swords again and over, demonstrating that his opponent is little more than a huge merman, or frog, in a tiny pond.

7. Choppers Would Love to Join

From One Piece, it’s Tony! The talented doctor Tony Chopper is also a budding pirate. The Straw Hat Pirates have taken on powerful foes, such as the World Government, and the Human-Human Fruit-eating reindeer has battled with them on several occasions. Chopper has accomplished a great deal so far in his life, and he still has much more to achieve.

Chopper, like every other member of the Straw Hats, has no intention of changing sides. He owes Luffy his freedom, and he can never pay it back. In addition, the Straw Hats function as something of a family unit. However, there are several teams that Chopper would ultimately gladly join in a parallel universe.

A healer, Chopper is one. Chopper, the reindeer, was taught by Hiriluk and Kureha to become one of the best doctors in the series. Although Trafalgar D. Water Law’s crew is called the Heart Pirates, they are capable of doing much more than just patching wounds.

Chopper fits very well with the Heart Pirates since he is a doctor. He could put their medical supplies to good use, and the commanding officer of the ship could teach him a couple of things about command.

The Golden Lion Pirates were the primary adversaries of One Piece: Strong World, and they plotted to destroy the East Blue as part of their march to world dominance.

Captain Shiki wanted to make this scheme a reality by conducting experiments on animals to breed giant mutants. The Straw Hats faced up against several gigantic mutant creatures thanks to the success of their studies. Obviously, Chopper has no interest in joining a team that employs animals as weapons.

Before the time of Skip, Chopper was a lot more naïve than he is now. Chopper has acquired the maturity of a young adult while still being a minor. Although the Candy Pirates’ backstory is shrouded in mystery, their name, candy-themed uniforms, and ship are enough to entice even the most skeptical Chopper to join their crew.

8. Tragic past of Nico Robin

Manga artist Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy’s rise to pirate supremacy. He meets a diverse group of people along the road who become like a family to him. Nico Robin, an onboard archaeologist, is a member of these crew members. Her route to become a crew member was more circuitous than that of the other members.

She was first shown as a villain, the number two in charge of a bad group. The traumatic events of her past, which were revealed in a devastating flashback, were a major factor in her decision to leave. In that memory, we learn that Robin spent his childhood on the island of Ohara, a center for archaeologists.

When Robin was young, her mother abandoned the family, and she began to be teased and harassed because of the Devil Fruit she ate.

She was only treated decently by the island’s academics and the generous giant Saul, who went down on Ohara’s shores. The island’s academics were executed by the World Navy one day for the offense of researching forbidden information.

They destroyed the island and slaughtered its inhabitants to prevent any news from leaking out. While on the run, Robin saw the deaths of everyone she had ever known. Saul, in his last moments, urged her to set sail for a new life with trustworthy companions.

In spite of this, everyone she encountered after evading Ohara either used her or tried to give her in to ensure they could get Robin’s large reward. Because of this, she began to feel worthless and convinced herself that everyone she knew would ultimately turn on her.

Intense flashbacks have occurred among other crew members as well. The members of Luffy’s crew have had their fair share of sorrow, from the deaths of Brook’s prior crew to Chopper unintentionally poisoning his father figure. However, the strong connections between Robin’s history and the overarching concepts of One Piece make it stand out from the others.

9. Luffy’s Heart was Pure

Goku could go across the globe without risking his life by walking through Earth’s perilous jungles since he had yet to master flight. While we can all agree that the Flying Nimbus deserves credit for providing us with our first experience of flying in this incredible series, there are still some mysteries surrounding this mystical object that have us scratching our heads.

Goku doesn’t always have the support of the Flying Nimbus. With only a yell, it can be summoned to his exact place whenever he needs it. But I don’t see the logic in this. The Nimbus does not have eyes or hearing, as far as we know. We can’t even tell whether it’s alive or not; it’s just a cloud.

In Dragon Ball Super, the Nimbus was able to pick up Goku’s voice in the depths of the Forestry of Terror despite the fact that he hadn’t used it in years. Maybe it had been picking up on his ki the whole time. Like us, you may have assumed that Goku was using the Nimbus to boost his power, but he was really holding back his ki in the Forest of Terror.

Luffy was seen floating on a nimbus cloud during the 2013 crossover event between Dragon Ball and One Piece. Based on what we know about Nimbus Clouds from the Dragon Ball series, only someone with a completely good heart, like Goku, can ride one.

This further demonstrates that Luffy does not harbor any ill will. However, it should be evident to anybody who has seen any of the One Piece series’ 900-plus episodes. This is just another piece of evidence supporting that claim.

10. Mysterious Power Haki

Haki’s unique and extraordinary strength sets it apart in the One Piece world. In its simplest form, this is the use of one’s own spiritual energy or spirit toward the development of new abilities and the improvement of those already possessed. Some examples of such powers are the ability to fortify one’s body and the awareness of one’s surroundings.

Haki is an innate skill shared by all Earthly organisms. The healing power of haki can be channeled, but unfortunately, not everyone is aware of their own potential to do so. Someone with immense power, will, or resolve is required to revive Haki. Haki may seem easy at first appearance, but it is really rather challenging to learn and master.

Within these three broad categories of haki, a wide variety of styles may be found. Listed below is information specific to each of the three types available.

The strongest people in the world are those who master all three haki styles. Some well-known examples are Gol D. Roger, Shanks, Luffy, and a whole lot more. However, in this reality, there are some who have access to no more than two haki, and maybe even none at all.

Hardening, the most common form of Armament Haki, is used in the vast majority of post-time-jump One Piece combat. By directing Armament Haki to various points on the body, users may create a dark coating of Haki along their skin, substantially enhancing their power and defenses.

Sharpening is a common strategy among New World veterans, especially those with outstanding physical prowess. Since it can be employed effectively against both non-Devil Fruit users and Devil Fruit users, this form of Armament Haki is important for any combat-oriented Grand Line sailor.

Armament Haki adherents use a practice called Imbuement, which is similar to Hardening, to impart spiritual life into inanimate items. Roronoa Zoro shows how this may be utilized to make otherwise innocuous objects, like swords, into deadly weapons that can’t be destroyed.

11. Big Mom was a Cannibal

One Piece has some bleak moments, but it also addresses several topics that fans probably thought would be avoided. Human trafficking and murder have recently been addressed in episodes of the anime adapted from the manga by Eiichiro Oda.

One Piece’s 837th episode, which aired this past weekend, took many by surprise. The update’s continuation of Charlotte Linlin’s backstory had a twist that surprised Big Mom. Linlin was saved from the monster by Mother Carmel and her children, who later relocated her to safety and celebrated her birthday with a party.

At the birthday party for the adopted Linlin, who was turning six, the youngster couldn’t resist the treats. Linlin’s ravenous hunger, however, was not to be appeased, and she devoured Mother Carmel and her young. Linlin was devastated to find herself utterly alone after Big Mom’s thoughtless action.

Obviously, the anime glossed over a lot of information about this pivotal event. There was no evidence of blood on the screen when Big Mom devoured Linlin’s surrogate family like doughnuts. At least up until she began eating them, Linlin considered them to be sweets.

The announcement was shocking even to anime fans. Big Mom may not be the most likable person, but her cannibalism experiments are tops. Maybe that’s why Big Mom has such a hard time letting go of Mother Carmel. After all, if you ate someone by mistake, you’d feel terrible about it.

Reviews and reader reactions have been very positive, and the series’ Japanese sales have broken all previous records. The manga is the best-selling manga series of all time, with over 430 million copies sold throughout the globe.

12. Usopp has a Strange Nose

Shintoists have high regard for the tengu, a mythological creature central to Japanese culture. In addition to monkeys, it has several physical traits with humans and birds.

However, its behavior is more typical of monkeys. Another creative force is the monkey-faced Shinto deity Sarutahiko Okami. The one thing that is always the same about them is their long, perennially scarlet noses.

Usopp took advantage of the fact that the original Straw Hat Crew members bought into his hyperbole by using them to his own benefit. People compare him to Pinocchio because of his enormous nose and the misconceptions it inspires.

In Japanese, “uso” means “lie.” There is no mistaking the similarities between Pinocchio’s journey and Usopp’s journey to become a true man via piracy. Usopp and the tengu have a number of traits, but their disproportionately huge noses stand out. Usopp has a tengu-like appearance due to his long, thin nose bridge and huge, bulbous nose tip.

Additionally, Usopp is well known for being dishonest and exaggerative. The tengu likes to deceive unsuspecting visitors by sending them on fruitless errands.

There is still a lot that can be drawn from Tengu, even without the wooden kid. All of Usopp’s attacks use the word “star” to symbolize his connection to meteors, much as the Japanese phrase “Hokaku Boshi,” which means “capture star,” does.

Eventually, everyone began referring to Usopp as “God Usopp,” as if he were a deity. His Christ-like appearance, thanks to his long, flowing hair, maybe a nod to the deity who influenced the tengu, who in turn had a profound effect on Usopp. Usopp’s heroic alias, Sogeking, wears a sunburst mask. The last link was Sarutahiko’s connection to the sun.

13. Tokyo One Piece Tower

It’s odd that there aren’t more huge theme parks or attractions themed on One Piece, given the series’ success in Japan over the previous two decades. Huis Ten Bosch may be inaccessible to foreign visitors because of the island of Kyushu’s western position and the need for a crew to enjoy the island’s famous boat rides.

For this reason, the Tokyo Tower would provide a fitting symbol for the One Piece pirates. At the foot of Tokyo Tower, a three-story One Piece theme park opened in March of 2015. The next year, it was closed so that it could be expanded and renovated.

On the fictional island of Tongari, which stands in for Eiichiro Oda’s Japan, lies the One Piece Tower, a replica of the Tokyo Tower. A noisy Japanese short film shown on a 360-degree screen and narrated by a Den Den Mushi will serve as the first act of your voyage in the Log Theater.

The beautiful diorama of the Straw Hat crew welcomes visitors as they leave the theater and enter the park main. Despite the focus on the ecchi aspects of the female characters, all of the male characters are represented accurately.

Even for diehard fans of One Piece, this is the most thrilling section of the park. There are a dozen uninteresting themed attractions plus a jumble of scattered exhibits and retrospectives to see around the building.

These “games” are often very easy, provide no genuine challenge, and deliver boring “rewards.” The sole novel approach is a live performance, a theatrical portrayal with actors, which is shown as much as six times a day.

14. Mr. 2 Saved Luffy Twice

Mr. 2, whose real name is Bentham, has joined the Straw Hat Pirates after making initial contact with them. Mr. 2 helped Luffy even at Impel Down in his mission to save Ace. By the time he stepped foot aboard the Going Merry and met the Straw Hat Pirates, he was already a close friend of the crew.

After seeing Mane Mane no Mi’s metamorphosis and voice-copying abilities, Luffy and the other characters begin singing in awe. Sanji was too preoccupied with the cooking to meet Mr. 2 at the moment. Sanji and Mr. 2 got into a quarrel since they didn’t know one other at their first encounter in Alabasta.

Mr. 4 is coupled with Miss Merry Christmas, Mr. 1 with Miss Doublefinger, and Crocodile with Miss All Sunday to give a few instances of the many various female partners the men in the Baroque Works have. Mr. 2 was the only one of the guys who wasn’t dating anybody. Because of his okama appearance, he was probably taken for either of them.

Mr. 2 had been a wonderful friend, coming to Luffy’s aid twice. At first, when Hina was following the Alabasta arc and on the trail of the Stray Hat Pirates.

The second time was at Impel Down, where Luffy lay on his deathbed from the poison Magellan had given him. Mr. 2 brought Luffy to Ivankov’s residence to obtain better medical attention after he was injured.

Although he lost some of his final years, Luffy’s life was saved. In addition, Mr. 2 posed as Magellan unlocked the Gates of Justice, and exposed every inmate in Impel Down to certain death.

Mr. 2 successfully held off Magellan and defeated him. Magellan retook his position as queen after he had captured Ivankov. The cover art for Chapter 666 of One Piece features this scene.

15. Sanji had a Strong Background

His true identity and role in the Vinsmoke Family were exposed by the events on Whole Cake Island. Nonetheless, hints of his royal lineage were embedded in the narrative long before then.

Sanji’s family history was not fully revealed until the Arabasta arc of One Piece. Sanji led the Straw Hat Pirates to safety from the Rain Dinners casino on Rainbase, where they had just tricked Crocodile.

His meeting with the Shichibukai at the Den Den Mushi took place under his guise as “Mr. Prince.” He rescued the Straw Hat Pirates when they were cornered by Crocodile. The tale proceeded until it became evident that Sanji was, in fact, a prince despite his first claim to kingship being impossible.

Sanji had mentioned Noland in passing, but when they entered his apartment, they discovered a book all about it. Unbeknownst to the rest of the team and the general public, Sanji knew a lot about Noland’s life since he was a member of the Vinsmoke Family.

The Straw Hats made it to Jaya after a lengthy voyage when Nami and Usopp discovered, to their surprise, that Sanji did not hail from the same ocean as them. Instead, he claimed to be from the North Blue, a region made famous by the story of Noland the Liar.

The burden he was bearing was reflected in his enigmatic history. The unfortunate decision to end their investigation at that time was taken by the group.

Nami and Usopp found Sanji’s assertion that he was from the North Blue interesting, but they didn’t pay it any mind. They should have seen that Sanji had to go from the North Blue to the East Blue by way of the Red Line.

16. One piece was Introduced Earlier

Romance Dawn was Eiichiro Oda’s previous book before he began working on One Piece. The plots of One Piece and Romance Dawn are quite similar. There are certain similarities between the universes of One Piece and Romance Dawn, yet there are also important differences. Eiichiro Oda began drawing Romance Dawn a very long time ago.

While working as an assistant to mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki in 1996, Oda had the concept for Romance Dawn, a pirate-themed manga. The story of Monkey D. Luffy’s ascent to the throne of the pirates began in Oda’s manga Romance Dawn, which was originally published in 1997.

One year later, after implementing several storyline adjustments and developing the final copy of the tale, Oda came up with the version that would be ultimately dubbed One Piece.

Oda was a first-year seventh grader. Romance Dawn #2 was drawn by Oda when he was Watsuki’s assistant, and it has substantial changes to the original story.

The first edition of Romance Dawn, released in August 1996, follows the manga closely, depicting Monkey D. Luffy and his desire to become a pirate. Even though Luffy can’t use Devil Fruits, Oda clearly meant for him to be a membrane man because of his magical ability to stretch like rubber.

Luffy’s grandfather, Monkey D. Garp, steps into the shoes of Shanks, the infamous pirate who leads his own crew and gives his grandson a straw hat. Garp is another character that Oda finally included in One Piece. However, unlike the other prominent pirates, he is a famous Marine Vice-Admiral who is feared by all pirates.

After Luffy has gained his wealth as a pirate, Garp will accompany him on the high seas, much as Shanks did for him in One Piece. Even while Garp is still there, his position has been drastically changed, and he seems to have been replaced by Shanks throughout the final version of the story.

17. Usopp’s Lies Were True

In response to Kaya’s questioning, Usopp says, “I chopped it up and took it to a land of little people.” This explains the disappearance of the gigantic goldfish responsible for the massive waste.

Depending on their level of creativity and sense of humor, artists may often hide minor easter eggs throughout their works as references to other works, plot points for future events, or simply for fun. Creator Eiichiro Oda likes to include easter eggs throughout One Piece, one of the longest comics and anime to date.

Even if you read One Piece religiously, you can miss some of the subtle references to his skill as a world-builder. Finding references to Pandaman makes for one of the most entertaining activities in the One Piece universe. He appears in the backdrop of the anime and manga rather often. His panda head is the one constant in an otherwise erratic body type.

If you’re looking for Pandaman in the anime or manga, you may want to look among the supporting cast. You may also encounter panda-woman, but panda-man is by far the most prevalent character type.

Oda is famous for his extensive world-building and for leaving hints and indications throughout his series about what will happen next.

At the conclusion of the Thriller Bark storyline, Lola gifted Nami, a vivre board that may come in handy down the line. Nami was unaware that the card really related to Emperor Big Mom, simply that it appeared to be Lola’s mother’s.

Until far later in the storyline of Whole Cake Island, nobody remembered about it at all. On the island, Nami utilized Big Mom’s homies’ fear of the vivre card, which carried a piece of her soul, to her benefit. Only those who were paying attention to the vivre card knew that Oda had prepared ahead to use it.
