This made from insane 1,400hp “metal foam” supercar will blow your mind

The extraordinarily strange Inferno concept car is made from zinc, aluminum and silver.

Tired of the same old boring “exotics” from the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini? Yeah, us too. Fortunately, the people behind the Inferno Exotic Car are prepared to relieve the tedium with a 1,400 horsepower dose of excitement.

The brainchild of Antonio Ferraioli, designer of cars like the Lamboghini Veneno, Reventon, Aventador and Gallardo, the Inferno features something the company calls “metal foam” bodywork. They say that this material, said to be a combination of zinc, aluminum and silver, is lighter and stronger than other materials, which contributes to the Inferno’s predicted performance.

The company says the car will hit 247 mph and accelerate to 60 mph in under three seconds. Such acceleration, along with Ferraioli’s Lamborghini background, implies all-wheel drive to put so much power to the pavement.

First off let me start by saying my inner child is screaming with excitement over this car! It looks exactly like a hot wheels toy. FINALLY the poster car is back! In a time when many car manufactures are playing it safe with classy yet lackluster designs, the Mexican engineered Inferno Exotic Car has been unveiled with an aggressive f*ck you get over because I’m coming through styling. And you might want to take that advice, the Inferno boasts an impressive estimated 1400 horsepower and 670lb.-ft. The Twin Turbo V8 is said to take the car from 0-62 mph in under 3 seconds with a top speed of 245mph. With figures like that the car is set to rival the likes of Pagani, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg super cars.

The Inferno’s designer Antonio Ferrarioli, best know for his designs for Lamborghini, has decided to work with an all new material to the car industry. It’s an incredible blend of aluminum, silver and zinc which has been named Metal Foam. “But who builds a car out of foam?”, you ask. Well this isn’t your ordinary everyday foam. It’s said that the metal foam can stretch to 100 times its original size. Which means in the case of a collision the car can absorb the impact much better than your typical aluminum or carbon fiber paneling. Best of all it’s light, really light.

Actually that wasn’t the best part. Did I mention that the Inferno was unveiled on a set of custom ADV.1 Wheels? That’s right, much like the Fisker Rocket Ford Mustang by Henrik Fisker and Galpin Auto Sports, this concept car features a set of our forged wheels. The Inferno Exotic Car team went with our wheel best know for appearing on Lamborghini’s, the “Reventador”. They took our already aggressively designed wheel and cranked it up to 11 with their own custom red paint matched highlights.

WHEEL SPECIFICATIONS: Reventador MV1 CS

Finish Disc: Matte Black

20×10 | 20×13

While it’s unsure if the car in its current state will make it to production, we’re excited to see where things go from here and hope continue with them on their journey. And in true Inferno fashion we know they’ll get there quick! So for now i’m printing these pics out and hanging them above my bed.
