This expertly restored, matching numbers 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster is one of the last and best looking of its kind. Available with O’Kane Lavers, this is the summer chariot of our dreams.
Almost three quarters of a century have passed since this 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster rolled off the assembly line, and yet it looks like it’s just had its final pre-delivery inspection. That’s because it recently underwent an exhaustive restoration at the hands of leading marque specialists, who even went so far as to ensure the panel gaps were to factory specification. Take a closer look, and you’ll notice the rich glossy sheen of that lovely ivory paintwork, achieved only through hundreds of hours in the paint booth. As with the paint, the Red interior has been retrimmed to its original colour combination as per this car’s Certificate of Authenticity and factory Kardex, while all original chrome has been triple plated.
Also worth noting are those gleaming Rudge centre-lock wheels, a very rare and expensive upgrade offered by Porsche as optional equipment. In addition to its absolutely flawless condition, this Speedster is a matching numbers example and is being offered from a private Porsche collection. As one of the last Speedsters built, this 1958 T2 represents the final iteration of perhaps the 356’s most desirable variant. As far as perfect summer rides go, you can’t get much better than this, so don’t hesitate to get in touch with O’Kane Lavers if you want elevate your next road trip.
