“Animals Unleashed: When Nature’s Humor Takes Center Stage”

Laugh with funny animal photos in 2017

The giant giraffe “checking the seat belts of passengers on the plane” and the “dancing kangaroo” are two of the unique images competing in the 2017 Funny Wildlife Photo Award.

According to Australian news, this year’s contest organized by photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam is still in the stage of accepting entries. There are only about 2 months left, but the organizers have already received many excellent works .

A huge giraffe is “checking the seat belts ” of passengers on the plane in Graeme Guy’s photo taken in Masai Mara, Kenya or the moment a kangaroo dances by photographer Andrey Giljov … along with many excellent works participating in this year’s competition.

The contest leaders hope to find the funniest photos of animals, thereby promoting wildlife conservation .

This year’s winner will go on a one-week wildlife photography trip to Kenya.

Sullam said: ” Wildlife conservation is the central theme of the contest. Based on the fact that people seem to enjoy humorous images of animals, we organized the contest . At Tanzania, a country with the largest number of wild animals in the world, is witnessing a decline and destruction caused by humans, we want to do something to help nature.”

Last year, the contest attracted 2,200 entries from 1,000 authors from 75 countries. The organizing committee will accept works until September 30, 2017.
