A young orphaned man named Inyene Dominic who lost his right arm at the age of 10 has beaten all odds against him to become a Lawyer.
Inyene Dominic bagged his bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom in Nigeria before he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he was certified as the Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He shared his achievement of getting called to the bar despite all the challenges he faced growing up stating that his story is one of grace and self-determination. Dominic mentioned that he lost his mother at the age of 4, his father at 5, and his right limb at the age of 10.
”I DARED TO BE, TODAY I AM. Mine’s a story of grace and absolute self-determination. From losing;My mum at age 4, My dad at age 5, My upper right limb at age 10, ” he said.
Dominic stated that his achievement makes him the first-ever barrister in his family. He expressed his family to his family and friends for their unwavering support.
In another story, a young blind man named Thabang Manamela has finally achieved his dream of becoming a lawyer as he bagged a master’s degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Thabang Manamel was at birth partially blind and was diagnosed with glaucoma, which resulted in him losing his eyesight at an early age. He lost a substantial part of his eyesight but that did not stop him from achieving his dreams. Read more about Thabang HERE.
