Dante’s Take-Charge Attitude Could End Up Costing Him His Career

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was all too eager to get to the bottom of Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) death as soon as he heard from the Pautauck Police Department that he was deceased.

A detective through and through, Dante is always at-the-ready to explore a case and unearth a mystery, but this time around, it’s more personal. He may have been the last person to see Austin alive — before his killer locked eyes with him, that is.

Moreover, it was Dante who sent Austin away — and to his death — by not being able to grant him immunity on the spot before talking it over with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers).

Now, it’s going to become Dante’s mission to figure out who killed Austin, even if it means stepping on toes in another county and keeping vital information about the case to himself — especially those details his dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), has already shared with him.

In the end, Dante might very well solve the case, but it’s not going to benefit him much if he can’t hang onto his job in the process.

General Hospital Spoilers — Dante Falconeri Is Already On Thin Ice

Dante was recently suspended from the police force after he intervened in Pautauk — clearly outside of his jurisdiction as a police officer.

But what else was he to do when he got the call from Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) saying Ava Jerome (Maura West) was in trouble and her life could be at risk?

In addition, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) could have been killed if Dante hadn’t shown up in the nick of time to shoot Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray).

Dante was only brought back onto the force so rapidly because they needed his help right away. He would do well not to forget that.

GH Spoilers – Suggest He’s Playing with Fire

The Detective from Pautauk isn’t playing around. He’s serious about this murder. But both he and Dante will end up feeling drawn to it, territorial, and as though it impacts their own community more than the other.

Regardless, Dante will be obligated to share information with the Pautauk Police Department, but that doesn’t mean he’ll share all of it.

However, if anyone else finds out he had more information on Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) involvement — or anyone else for that matter — he could be in serious trouble.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Warns His Son

Sonny has already warned Dante not to get too involved in this case. Just as Dante was ready to jump in head-first and get to the bottom of this case, Sonny reminded him that Pautauk wasn’t in his jurisdiction.

Dante was two steps ahead of him, reminding him that he would have to share information with the Pautauk authorities.

What he didn’t tell his father was that he intended to reap whatever they shared with him while being selective about doing the same.

Will Dante hang onto the insider dirt Sonny gave him to try to be a hero and solve this case — or might his angle be protecting Ava as the PCPD and Pautauk authorities narrow their sights on her?
