Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez displayed her flawless makeup look as she prepared to enjoy a star-studded night out at the Academy Museum Gala.

In photos posted to her Instagram Stories, Selena looked incredible with a fresh slick of pink lip gloss, shimmering eye shadow, and a dashing of blush.

Her brunette hair was slicked back into an elegant bun, further putting her gorgeous complexion on full show.

Selena, 31, beamed with happiness as she posed beside pal Nicola Peltz, 28, ahead of the A-list event.

The duo were taking snaps inside the Beverly Hills Hotel alongside Nicola’s husband Brooklyn Beckham, 24 – who marked their friendship ‘anniversary’ with more snaps on his own account.

Beckham shared photos of them preparing to attend the gala as they struck poses inside the iconic hotel in their glam attire.

‘Our anniversary xx,’ Beckham captioned the posts.

The photos continued on his Instagram Stories, where Beckham shared snaps of him posing with both his wife and the Only Murders In The Building actress, along with a photo of Selena’s placeholder.

Nicola previously revealed her friendship with Selena took off after they attended the Academy Gala together.

‘I had met her once in passing a few years ago, and then we all went to this event in September, the Academy Gala,’ she told Cosmopolitan earlier this year. ‘We just clicked and had the best time. And then we became super, super close. I feel like she’s my soul sister.

‘I love her so much. She’s truly one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met in my whole life. The kindest person ever. Truly, her heart is gold. I feel like I’ve known her forever.’

She said her husband got along well with Selena as well: ‘Oh my god. We’re like, “Yeah, we are a throuple.” We are all three best friends.’

‘I think it really is so beautiful when you have girlfriends in your life who cheer you on,’ the Welcome to Chippendales actress added. ‘And if I’m just walking down the street and a girl is like, “Oh my gosh, I love your outfit,” it means so much more than if a guy says it. Like, ew, whatever. But when a girl compliments you, it’s so much more special.’

The annual Academy Museum Gala was launched in 2021 and aims to raise funds for the museum’s exhibitions and public programming.

The event always draws in a red carpet so star-studded it rivals the Academy Awards themselves and the inaugural gala managed to raise a whopping $11 million for the museum.

Several stars were also honoured at the glamorous soirée, including Meryl Streep, who picked up the Icon Award, which celebrates an artist whose career has had a significant global cultural impact.

Michael B. Jordan picked up the Vantage Award, which honours an emerging artist or scholar who is helping to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema.

Oprah Winfrey received the Pillar Award, which acknowledges exemplary leadership and support for the Academy Museum.

Sofia Coppola was honoured with the Visionary Award, which celebrates an artist or scholar whose innovations have advanced the art of cinema.

‘We are excited to gather again at our third annual Academy Museum Gala to celebrate the power, global impact, and indelible importance of cinema,’ Jacqueline Stewart, director and president of the Academy Museum, said in a statement earlier this year.

‘I am truly honored to recognize four artists, Meryl Streep, Michael B. Jordan, Oprah Winfrey and Sofia Coppola, whose creativity and passion have inspired and shaped our culture in such powerful ways.’

The event was initially set to take place in October but was postponed following the Hamas attack on Israel.

There had been concerns that the Hollywood strikes would also impact the event but these came to an end earlier this year.

The Hollywood actors’ strike finally came to an end last month after 118 days, concluding the longest strike ever for film and television actors.

The month before the writers’ strike came to an end, when they celebrated a new deal with a five percent pay bump, streaming bonuses and protection against AI.
