In an interview with Variety on October 3, Elizabeth Olsen described the magic scenes on set as “silly”.

“I wish one day they release a version of the movie without any special effects. Then you will understand how ridiculous that feeling is,” she said.

The 33-year-old actress recalled the scene where Wanda Maximoff tries to remove the Mind Stone from Vision’s (Paul Bettany) forehead while dealing with Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War : “It was embarrassing to film something like that . Like the world depends on what you do. When it was over, I felt relieved, like a burden had been lifted. I remember giggling all day because Brolin was wearing a helmet (required to create the character’s effects). These movies are silly but you still have to act.”

Olsen’s feeling of embarrassment increased when performing the magic shooting scene in public while having to show emotional and painful expressions.

Earlier this year, in The New York Times , Olsen expressed that it was difficult to become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe because she could not take on the acting parts that she really wanted.

 

“It took away my ability to take on some roles that I thought were more in line with what I liked as an audience member. I started to feel disappointed. I had the security of this job but I lost things that I felt were part of who I was. I’m getting further and further away from that,” the 8X beauty confided.

In 2022, Elizabeth Olsen returns as Wanda Maximoff in the Disney+ series WandaVision and the theatrical film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . In the near future, the actress is preparing to carry out her own project about Scarlet Witch.
