Beyonce gushes she is ‘overwhelmed by the outpouring of love’ from fans for her concert film

Beyonce Knowles-Carter took to Instagram to express her profound gratitude to fans for supporting her concert film and documentary, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

While reacting to the news that her much-anticipated movie took over the box office this weekend, the superstar, 42, gushed that she is ‘so deeply thankful to AMC and every team member who worked so hard on this film.’

‘I just can’t thank all of you enough for your support. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done because of the short turn around time,’ she captioned a video, featuring footage from the film’s multiple premieres, attended by Taylor SwiftBlake Lively, Lizzo Kris Jenner and various other A-listers.

In order to get the movie to the public on such a tight deadline, the Destiny’s Child alum confessed that she ‘practically slept in the edit, color, and mix sessions.’

Despite feeling that she was racing against the clock to ‘get this film out so quickly,’ the mother-of-three raved that ‘it was so worth all the grind.’

‘I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from my Hive. And WOW! I am so touched and encouraged by the incredible reviews!!!,’ she raved, nodding to the Renaissance movie debuting with a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.

The 32-time Grammy winner also gushed that she loves ‘seeing everyone all dressed up in their most opulent lewks in the theaters.’

‘The mute challenges still happening, even in the theater!! Y’all are cracking me up. Please keep that energy going. I can’t wait to see what else yall do 🙂 I also love seeing the positive take aways from people who were not my fans or didn’t yet know my story,’ the Halo hitmaker continued. ‘The people who had no interest in seeing my shows who have now gained a deeper understanding and respect for all it takes to be a RENAISSANCE woman.’

The singer-songwriter, dubbed as Queen Bey by her fans, noted that she was ‘very proud’ to have launched her ‘film on World AIDS Day in memory of’ her Uncle Johnny.

‘I pray I continue to make something that lifts all of y’all up the way you continue to lift me up,’ she concluded. ‘While I’m often critical and feel my art is never finished, the pendulum swings. I feel gratitude. “We did it.” We have the #1 movie in the country! And a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. And it’s because of you and your support! I humbly thank you.’

Within an hour, her post received more than 569,866 likes and 20,500 comments.

The video montage featured reviews of the film as well as recordings of fans leaping out of their seats to dance in theaters as they watched her perform.

Over the weekend, her concert film had a solid opening weekend, grossing $22 million.

Renaissance opened exclusively in AMC Theatres, the chain’s second concert film this year after Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, which took in $178.8 million domestic and $249.5 million worldwide.

Renaissance – which Beyonce wrote and directed (with James B. Merryman and Mark Ritchie directing the live segments – opened in 2,539 theaters.

It earned an impressive $8,270 per-screen average.

Beyonce’s film ended the two-week reign of The Hunger Games prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which dipped 50.1% with $14.5 million, with $121.2 million domestic overall.
