RM – the leader of BTS sent a heartfelt letter to fans before enlisting, while V received a cake and a farewell message from his work crew.

On December 10, the BTS leader wrote a touching message to his devoted fans before leaving for military service along with members V, Jimin and Jungkook.

In this heartfelt letter, RM conveys many mixed emotions, including excitement, concern, courage, and deep love for his fans.

In the letter, BTS’s RM wrote: “That day has finally come. There are many things I want to say, but now that the time has come, words cannot be easily uttered.

I am extremely happy to have been a member of BTS for the past 10 years. I often repeat that as a recording but as they say, every ending is a new beginning!

I firmly believe that once we read this chapter that is about to end, something equally wonderful is waiting for us.”

RM continued, “I’m sure that Jin (Seokjin hyung) and J-Hope (Hoseok-ie), who went through this period before us, had an even harder time.

Seeing their resilience despite the wait gave me the courage to move forward.

18 months, whether long or short, I believe this period will be marked by new inspiration and learning for all of us.

It can be scary and daunting, but I wonder if there will be something to look forward to and hope for during this time of uncertainty.”

To further reassure fans, RM expressed, “Of course, it will be a challenge, but your love will definitely get us through it.

Being someone who is always in other people’s memories and eagerly anticipated can sometimes feel lonely.

However, it is clear that our hearts are filled with that love. I long to be that presence of yours.

In addition to the countless words that can be left in our photos, our time, our love and our sincerity will be our voice in the future.”

Finally, RM concluded: “I always want to be someone who is present in you even when I’m not around.

Live life in your own place, work hard and when we reunite, smile brightly.

I hope we can be each other’s perfect heart. Now it’s just a temporary goodbye! When we return, we will greet each other again.

No matter when or where, let’s make sure we are always ‘us’.”

When saying goodbye, RM also added these words: “See you again in the future, I love you very much. I hope to at least be comforted a little.”

On December 10, V posted on his Instagram Stories : “Our Tae team’s letters were so cute, they even made a vlog that I loved, sent me a video message. I went to emotional. I will go and come back healthy.”

In Instagram Stories , V BTS shared an image of a scroll conveying the staff’s sincere farewell words and a cake with the message “Come back healthy! From the Tae team”.

It is expected that today (December 11), V will arrive at the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungcheongnam-do to undergo basic military training and will serve a total of 18 months, with a discharge date set at June 10, 2025.
