Dwayne Johnson recently surprised his entire fanbase when he was announced to play a major role in an upcoming film. A few hours ago, the news was broken to Hollywood fans that The Rock has signed with A24 Movies to work on The Smashing Machine.
The WWE legend will be there as the main protagonist of the movie, Mark Kerr. Evidently, it is a big moment for his team. Dany Garcia recently showed her excitement as part of Johnson’s team from Seven Bucks Production.
Dwayne Johnson’s ex-wife is happy to work on the project alongside A24 Movies
The biopic will follow the MMA legend’s life through various personal struggles. Since it isn’t a strict documentary, fans will have the chance to know about Kerr’s personal life in the year 2000. Hours after Johnson’s role was announced, Garcia shared her thoughts on the same.
In a short and subtle manner, Johnson’s ex-wife complimented the collaboration between the two production houses by taking to her Instagram story. She posted the official announcement for the film and wrote, “I love this for us,” while tagging both A24 and Seven Bucks.
There is a big lineup of Hollywood projects starring DJ, waiting to see the light of day soon. So, fans will be overloaded with a bunch of big screen entertainment that features Dwayne Johnson. And it appears that the first one from this list to be released could be Red One, where Johnson will work alongside Chris Evans.
Chris Evans dropped another good opportunity to work with Dwayne Johnson
A recent interview featured Chris Evans, where he talked about his professional life. He then shed light on the fact that last year he received offers for two movies. While one of them was from Dwayne Johnson, the other was for a space-themed movie. Despite the love and fascination that Evans has for the latter category of films, he chose to work with Johnson.
This was because, even though he has been working in Hollywood for a while, Evans didn’t get an opportunity to work in a Christmas-themed movie because of how rare they are. So, he wanted to jump on board with Johnson as soon as he presented this idea.
Are you excited about catching this movie on screen? Do you believe “The Brahma Bull” is a good fit to portray the MMA legend?
