Rihanna goes bare-faced as she shows her night skincare routine using only Fenty Skin products

She just released her highly anticipated skincare line, Fenty Skin, last week.

And Rihanna put her favorite products to use as she showed her nighttime skincare routine in a video for Harper’s Bazaar’s video series Go To Bed With Me, out Tuesday.

The 32-year-old mogul kept her routine simple and on brand using only three products and three steps all with Fenty Skin products.

Starting the video with a full face of makeup, to remove her makeup she used the line’s two-in-one cleanser and makeup remover, applying it directly to her dry face, massaging to remove the makeup before rinsing.

‘I usually only do one wash because you only need one,’ she said patting her face dry.

‘My skin feels really supple and really soft, because as I was cleansing our Total Cleanser adds nutrients right back into your skin. So you don’t get that dry stripy feeling.’

Discussing other cleansers that have not been favorable to the hydration of her skin she added ‘I’ve used cleansers in the past where I was afraid to even smile because I thought my face would crack, not  here, not up in here.’

Scrub: Applying it directly to her dry face, massaging to remove the makeup before rinsing

For step two she moved on to toning, a process that refines pores and can add other nutrients.

‘One of my favorite products from Fenty Skin our Fat Water,’ she showed fans how the products thick nature and ability to be applied directly to the skin.

‘What I love most about this toner is the fact that it does not strip away your skin, it leaves moisture in your skin, it adds moisture to your skin,’ the designer added.

Refining pores is one of her favorite features, adding ‘And what toner is really made for is refining and reducing pores, my favorite, because the smaller the pores the younger you look. And at 32 I’m all about keeping it tight.’

Saying: ‘We’ve already broken down the makeup, with by the way no makeup wipes, check that, and we’v e put the toner on, no cotton pads, we’re saving the earth.’

Her brand works to be environmentally friendly she said ‘Fenty Skin is a clean brand it’s vegan, it’s gluten free and it’s very earth conscious,’ she said of the sustainable nature of her brand.

Step three was moisturizing, a product that was close to her heart.

The songstress also revealed some of her ‘best’ skincare secrets.

The first tip was hydration, which Rihanna encouraged from inside and out.

‘Whether it’s drinking a lot of water or I travel a lot, so my skin gets dry on the plane and I need it to stay hydrated, so I use our Fenty Beauty hydrating mist,’ she said. ‘It’s a makeup refreshing mist, but it also doubles as a hydrating mist.’

Like the islands: ‘I stick with hydration, but also a healthy diet—people from the best, most exotic islands with access to the best ingredients and stuff like that,’ she said. ‘The best environment and climate and humidity, their skin is beautiful’

While the hydrating mist wasn’t featured in her nightly skincare routine, Rihanna said it was essential.

She went on to explain that a healthy lifestyle, hydration and high quality ingredients all went in to great skin.

‘I stick with hydration, but also a healthy diet—people from the best, most exotic islands with access to the best ingredients and stuff like that,’ she said. ‘The best environment and climate and humidity, their skin is beautiful.’

She added: ‘I try to implement a lot of those ingredients into my skincare line as well.’

Long time coming: ‘I’ve always seen the Fenty brand as more than just makeup, and I knew I wanted to make skincare from the very beginning,’ she said

Speaking to the magazine, out September 8, about her new line, she opened up about the long dream that came to life with Fenty Skin.

‘I’ve always seen the Fenty brand as more than just makeup, and I knew I wanted to make skincare from the very beginning,’ she said.

Adding: ‘t was just about getting it right. You have to live with the formulas for a while and test them in different ways. It’s very different from makeup in that sense. It takes a long time.’
